Any match reports from those that attended over the weekend. I haven't had a chance to head down to Dairy Bell yet, hoping after Easter their fortunes change and they become more competitive.

Went and watched Collegians at the Trott against Uni Blues when I was in town.
Pretty ordinary quarter and a half from Collegians that involved our boys merely running one way (forward of the footy), especially in midfield, and not bothering to make Uni accountable when they got the footy going the other way, which opened up a handy 4 goal lead early on, which we struggled to get back for the rest of the day.
The Collegians side still has 10 or 12 premiership players from 2023 playing, but it seemed to me that there are a lot of newer and younger players in lions side from then, and these boys are still not quite used to the intensity of four quarter senior footy at A grade level. That being said, we had a lot of chances, our kicking was pretty poor and in usual Collegians fashion, we probably missed having an extra big bloke on the field. Uni Blues have Stewart and Grimley, which is a nightmare for opposition coaches as both require seriously big defenders to play on them.
0-2 for the lions and from what I saw a pretty bad injury to skipper Sam Hibbins who looked to dislocate his elbow halfway through the final quarter, so I doubt he will be playing any time soon.
From what I can see already this year, it is a pretty even competition, so let's see how it plays out post easter.
