Sorry a bit fuzzy on the details. If you bring in a player that isn't listed as an emergency isn't it a 5k fine?

At late notice (on gameday) it is a fine, but they could update the AFL and remove wagner and add swallow if they wanted to today and not get anything for it.

It would be great to play in Melbourne more often (we only have 4 games in Melbourne + 1 in Geelong this year) but clubs like yours and and the Dees sell your games to Tassie and Darwin

Take it up with the AFL. The day they stop playing merry go round between a certain few Melbourne teams guaranteed twice a year is the day you will play more games in Vic.

Ah yes Collingwood v Essendon twice every year is the reason North play games in Hobart...

this season is the least amount of games in Melbourne the Crows have played for a while - Have averaged 5 or 6 a year for past couple seasons (+ Geelong)

I'm actually just a bit annoyed on a personal level because I live in Melbourne and won't get to see them play until July

Despite being in good form perhaps Hansen could be rested for Mountford if it's pissing down. His skill set isn't suited to wet weather football and Mountford would give us another hard running, high tackle midfielder in what would be a contested game.

Without Hansen it would be Tarrant to Walker, Thompson to Lynch and EVW to Otten, with Marley on Betts and *gulp* Atley on Cameron. I wouldn't want to move McDonald down back after his good performances up the ground. Gibbo to Sloane, then make sure Cunners, Dumont and co match the Crouch's and the likes of Atkins inside.

Well, are we talking about premiership Corey or the couldn't take a chest mark Corey?
Lol. Both - even though there was a fair degree of difference in effectiveness, we wanted him anyway. Waite's the same sort of guy. It's a bit delusional, I know, but what can I say...

Does anyone give us a chance here? I've tipped us, NO ONE else in my comp has. But: Waite back, weather bad, Crows have to be due for a loss and have a terrible record in Tassie. Last week's win will have given the group - especially the new boys - a lot of self belief. Our defence is functioning well, and if we can contain the Crows forwards, break even in the middle and apply manic forward pressure surely we're a shot?
Or is this blatant straw clutching?

At least you get to see them four or five times a year us Sandgropers usually get one..

yes true overall I'm pretty lucky in Melbourne..

plus there are a couple of Hobart living Crows supporters on the Crows board who are rather stoked this weekend, so I guess the love should be spread

You can always fly over and wait outside Pubs before the game.

If Spitta played pencil in a win.

Move to Adelaide then.

Seriously, the 9-0 team from last year that you venerate is exactly the same team as the 3-10 team from the latter portion of the year, only with an easy fixture.

And half the side out injured. Good luck on Saturday - you guys are playing well, hate for you to peak too early though! Crows finals record recently doesn't make great reading.

Listen here pal, stop throwing facts at us okay.

Look I'm all for backing North every week and still believe we are a chance in Tas, but Adelaide are playing amazing football right now and their best will blow us of the park. If we bring them down to our level and make it a scrap in the wet and windy conditions we are a chance.

North by 1 point in a J.Z inspired game kicking 3 goals.

There have been bigger upsets.

Imo, the fact we are playing at a foreign ground that you are familiar with, in what could be poor weather conditions is certainly in your favour. Ie. Far better chance than say at Etihad.

Don't forget we also have Josh Jenkins...though he was very rusty last week on his return.

Anything can happen tomorrow and our inexperience will be a large factor, however there is some truth in your post.

Adelaide (1st) and Port (5th) aren't one and two for scoring for no reason. Their forwards have a significant advantage playing on that bowling alley in Adelaide and it somewhat skews their true standing.

Are Adelaide a significantly better team this season compared to last year? Absolutely not.

Have other sides in the competition who were competitive with Adelaide in 2016 weakened since last season? Absolutely.

Are the sides that have filled those spots since last season as strong as the sides they have replaced? Absolutely not.

Our best side from the first half of last season would roll Adelaide in Hobart tomorrow.

There will be 3 or 4 very ordinary sides that make the eight this year.
Our performances against GWS was far better than last year's close game, as was a rare win away against Hawks away... though granted they have been average mostly since.

Having watched Adelaide live in most games, we are playing a better brand of football than last year, mainly because we have better balance in our midfield.

Not really, missing injured from half way were Waite, Higgins, Wright, Garner, Wood and Wells while Goldy played injured from round 9 or 10. I am sure i have missed others who missed games as well which my brethren on this board will advise.

You are a figment of Calvin's imagination.
