Good clip of some training in the gym with some solid banter throughout.

Grundy - "This is the attention to detail we're after at the Sydney Swans."

Lehane - "What got the most feedback was me calling you Eric."
Gulden - "You know what should've got the most feedback? How bad your music is"

Lehane - "You're doing me a favour. Michelle's filming, Fox Sports are in and you're doing everything textbook."

Small things but I like videos like this

I was actually doing the exact same single leg step up exercise today 😂

Incredibly curious about the hanging weights off the bar though, would be brilliant for training core.

lots in there to think about.

Grundy being a note taker… McLean just seems a smart young person, every time he speak.

Loved the handball drills and game at the end.
I can see Grundy being a real marquee player for us both on and off the field. He seems to be very positive about his move to Sydney to play and to live. This comes through in all his interviews, which he has done plenty of. Just hoping he re-captures AA form and becomes an all round asset for the club.

A few other things to note from recent content...

McAndrew was in the background of a training photo looking like he was participating, which is good if it means he's back training.

And Magor was doing skill exercises with the defensive group in the Inside Sydney video, which could be a nod to where they see him fitting.

Interesting that last. Probably with Campbell and Jordon potentially filling that wing/HHF spot that we let HHK go from it may indeed be seen that Magor has more chance of a future down back. Florent type role?

Might've said this a few weeks ago but I think Magor was on track to be delisted prior to being moved to defence in the VFL. I understand he was drafted as a potential forward and showed heaps of promise there as a junior, but he just couldn't get involved whatsoever in the front half and was unlikely to show anything to earn another contract.

Good shout on the Florent comparison, but with Lloyd & Florent ahead of him it's hard to see him getting much opportunity in that type of role for the foreseeable future. Although part of me wonders if Florent will be in the red & white after next year.

Regards Florent potentially moving on you have to ask the age-old question of who replaces him. If we restructure taller there are options but if not at this stage not so much. McInerney or Campbell would be about it. I would think McInerney might be at more risk.

I wouldn't have though Florent would attract a great deal of interest, we'd be lucky to get a late 2nd round pick in return. So he's more valuable to us as a ready-made player, even if he isn't setting the world on fire. I guess every team needs its role players.
I agree. It's impossible to have a best 22 full of A graders and all good teams need guys like Florent who just do their job (although in Florent's case, he does have the odd cracker).

Totally agree. So many on here think we can't be successful unless we have a team of 22 superstars and don't seem to accept that it is an impossible dream that no side can field and that good role players are essential to any winning team.

100%. You can't afford them. The cap militates against it. Half the skill in building a good list is finding those reliable role players who fill the gaps.

He is not moving on.

Craig Bird agrees wholeheartedly.

Considering that the club and its partners practically handed Doozy Drinks to him and Hayward I'd say that both players are locked in until we have no further use for them.
Sounds like the club's starting to cotton on.

What's the background? What do you mean handed?
The sponsors on the players doors can allude to some third party payments/deals/opportunities going on at the club, as is the case with all the savvy football clubs. Swans fans with some deep pockets are invited to their special events and it's up to the players to make a good impression and capitalise on the networking opportunities. Standard corporate really...

To my understanding the boys are shareholders of Doozy and have put in the work to boot to promote the cause but Doozy was also handed to them on a silver platter.

Luke Parker has also made the most of our connections with realestate.com and more power to him!

Doesn't always have to be dollars and sense though, I know a couple of Swans fans that helped expedite Ana Kennedy's residency/citizenship process so she wasn't forced to leave when her visa expired.

To bring this back on topic, I think Josh actually was training the house down on the beach one summer when he first met Ana!
