Sorry for the intrusion

Really interested in these 2 boys ( Specially Fred)
How do they look and whats the opinion of draft watchers on the freo board about Fred
Kid looks all class with his speed and run as well as dual sided kicking
Yeah Rodriguez is absolute gun .

Doesn’t look out of place around Andy ,Caleb and youngy in most 1v1 drills at training already

Kid can’t stop talking up his time there atm in interviews. Tend Always see him having laugh and fooling around with Bolten in training photos and vids.

Interviewed the other day on local news mention how he’s genuinely rapt to have Shai back in WA and now being able to train alongside him

But he’s not just a gun footballer , is also really grounded kid who’s hugely family oriented, loves his surfing , beaches and the WA lifestyle, along with his high school sweetheart GF

Anything else you want to know?

Thanks mate really appreciate the info

With the draft haul we had in the draft Lalor , Smillie and Taranto , Hopper , McAullife
Im seeing a perfect fit along with Sharp at Richmond with our 2 x 1st rounders hopefully being #1 & #3/#4 in 2025

He just looks classy and speedy with excellent kicking on both feet
Fred is the player i want most in next years draft if he continues his great development

Any info would be appreciated as i will be keeping a close eye on him in 2025

Can't draft them all. Best bet is to build a dynasty with our current team and attract WA talent back home like Geelong does. We have a pretty good list so if we add Warner/Bolton then we are set.

you lot are so starved for training wrap ups/goss, I might have to pull a sickie tomorrow just to give another run down

This morning I had so much work piled up on my desk before I even had a chance to think the word sickie, so I only got to see the boys train for about 2ish hours (on my extra long lunch break).

Here are some notes:
  • got a better look at narkle and his separate sideline sesh. Seemed a lot more switched on, asking questions, focussing on his specific runs. looked way more comfortable being there.
  • TTHD nominees: walters, sharpy, pearce, matty j
  • fyfes kicking was beautiful at times, clearly no longer hampered by his long term foot injuries, but after seeing him with some quick hands to release murphy reid (bruce) a few times on the outer, who even cares?
  • seeing bruce in action was beautiful. how many times over the years has all of Optus stadium hid behind their hands when certain players try to kick the ball - well not with this bloke! His disposal (and pressure if he has it) is what will get him into the team in 2025.
  • and on that note, freddy is going to want to clean up his first touch quick smart because people are coming for his spot. Was very fumbly all training.
  • matty j is going to be better than whatever we hoped Cerra could be for us. He has put on good size and didn't shy away from taking on the big man himself (fyfe) in close contact pressure drills. Also impressive in run throughs, has a lot of speed and power. in some high pressure drills towards the end, he was getting quite feisty and aggressive, seems he is going to be a key driver in our level of mongrel, which I am more than happy about.
  • I don't think it's going to matter whether dogga can stick his marks or not anymore, I got to witness bolton lapping up them crumbs and wow we have been missing that
  • Isaiah Dudley is a very interesting train on decision - unless he can bring his fitness up very quickly, I'm not sure his skills are enough for us to take him on? Interested in others thoughts. He can clearly use the ball well, and reads the game well, but the dude walks/slow jogs in nearly all drills - walks to the back of the line, walks to reset, walks to space in sims. He seems to be quick with the ball in hand, can dance out of tackles, but he lacks any defensive urgency. I can see how he would be a great cheap pick up if that pressure is fixed up but can freo turn that around in a single pre-season?
  • for the love of Pav, will someone PLEASE teach davies about sun smarts. Not only was he sans-hat at one point he was also shirtless. saying my hail Mundys for that boys skin well-being.
  • In a lot of drills today, brayshaw was central but not participating the same way as others. Unclear if he's on low-contact (not wearing a hat) or practicing on field leadership/directions?
  • amiss and treacy are gigantic. It cannot be understated just how huge they are. Think of their ability to win contests when they were weedy lil fellas - now imagine that PLUS they also have the ability to crush their opponent.
That's it from me this week, heave ho!

Firstly, thanks for the report. Always greatly appreciated by anyone, and yours are brilliant.

I remember Chris25 talking about Junior Rioli, and his fitness being the only thing holding him back. Same with McGovern.

If that is only thing holding him back (and sounds like it is), then I am super keen to take him for 12 months if he shows 1-2 months of commitment.

I don't know you but I think I love you.

In all seriousness, it cannot be overstated how much this board appreciates training reports and yours are very good, so thankyou for your service.

And this my good sir is why you have a shedload of work backed up 😆
Thankyou for your services

Firstly, thanks for the report. Always greatly appreciated by anyone.

I remember Chris25 talking about Junior Rioli, and his fitness being the only thing holding him back. Same with McGovern.

If that is only thing holding him back (and sounds like it is), then I am super keen to take him for 12 months if he shows 1-2 months of commitment.
On appearance and training he seems further back than even those two. He will get the chance to work hard over the break. No one expects miracles over 2-3 weeks but it is an opportunity to impress that he has worked hard.

I’d want to see continued fitness improvements through to end of second SSP deadline on 19/02/2025.

168cm will also be a big obstacle, even if he is fit.

This is most concerning news. 👀

DAVIES SHIRT WATCH shall be continued in 2025.

How long did Shai train/participate with the other Freo midfielders? if he did at all.
