The avoids body contact is such a rubbish non truth. And as for not making it, this is his year. How about we support him captain toughness.
Thank god we have 1-2 years on Lynch, Nank, Prestia to mentor this young group. Lynch is still the alpha dog.
Doesn’t look like his doing to much wrong. Trained well. Played through the midfield during match sim. Good runner. Very good with ball in hand
The frustration with Sonsie is that the VFL form has never translated to AFL, but that seems to be mainly due to always being asked to play a different role when he gets the call up.

Serious question for once, have you ever seen him play a senior game in the middle? I can think of one. Its a disgrace.
Late 2022 season he played some footy there and looked good. Never played there again.

Instead we choose to play Dow every week and give him 20 CBA's. Was a good way to get pick 1 at least

The reason Sonsie does not play in the midfield is because he is woeful at winning contested ball. Same same at VFL level. At VFL level he wins his possessions outside the contest. It would be a farken disaster if he was put in the center at AFL level. The opposition would just waltz the ball out of the middle uncontested each time.

He has no issue winning contested ball in the VFL. He had a game with 9 clearances this year.
I have in later 2022 under Dimma, he actually looked like a player with potential. Then Dimma in the offseason went out and got Taranto & Hopper and Tyler hasnt got a look in since.
In fact that final against Brisbane he got 17 disposals and 4 clearances, only Nank & Prestia had more clearances.
Just another young player that Dimma has ****ed over.
