Potential training breach?

I can picture it now. The VFL will send COVID monitors over from Melbourne to monitor our training.......then they get stopped at the border by the SA government and sent back! Fantastic. ;)
The monitors will write full training reports and give them to the AFL where they'll be leaked to every Vic club.

It’s still stupid.

And our list of stupid continues to pile up.
You don’t actually know what’s happened yet. Also, at the end of the day, does this even matter? It’s some half arsed rule the AFL brought in a week ago, it’ll just be a warning and don’t do it again (which won’t be a problem as restrictions will ease by Monday anyway in other states).

The players were under direction to only train in pairs, but the club is now under investigation after witnesses claim the group of 16 players were busted training together in a large group.

It was recently made legal in South Australia for groups of 10 or less to train together, but not under the AFL’s return to footy plan.

Stupidity from the players. Who would have thought that footballers weren't the brightest sparks?

Who is the witness in a hotel that’s closed off to the public? Hotel staff?
You'd have to think so, and they'll be telling people it was them who "caught those pesky Crows"

So apparently we went to SAPOL first who said it was all fine as long as they didn't gather in groups larger then 10.
I’m so confused now, did we break the half arse AFL rule or not? If they were training in groups of two in the same area, that’s fine.

It's way down on the list, it's so very minor.
I’m not so sure it will be.

Don’t forget these guys were supposed to be locked down doing their 14 days self isolation.

Im not sure the exact requirements, but footy training with others is surely not self isolation. May yet be a SAPOL matter

IIRC they have been cleared by SAPOL. They were allowed to train, but they've breached numbers

Apparently we are not being accused of breaking any state quarantine laws and it's only the AFL's "pairs" rule they're investigating.
Such a knee jerk rule. What advantage are they gaining? We have already had a preseason.
