Probably way too emotional about a football team (why does it feel like I'm in the middle of a divorce when it comes to football...) but finally felt OK enough to renew my membership today.
If the swans were a supermarket, the ACCC would be knocking on their door for price gouging.
Realised I'm stuck between an old school supporter type (like the history, emotional barracking of the team) & modern day supporter (music pre-game & chants).
flipping hate the tiktok & social media crowd, also a bit grump that swans media team has gone that way a bit too. Obviously I'm not their target market but fk me, that fixture release with the 2005 so-fresh album cover was shit. Also just remembered how they marketed one of the games as dating round or some bs.
Basically anyone who attends swans game for social media clicks or like or any of that shit irritates me. Oh yea, apparently swans games became well known as a singles event or some bullshit dating thing.
Come to watch the swans root the opposition, not get a root yourself.

I personally hate that our media department do such a poor job of showcasing all Swans players, and not just the biggest names. And yes I will continue to bring it up, because it gives me the absolute shits and is emblematic of how we've become a club of individuals rather than a club of equals.
