Well done Saints outplayed us in the first half, we won the second half but the damage was done.

You were smashed in the last qtr everywhere but the scoreboard. Should have blown you out by 10 goals. A little dissappointed we didn't to be honest.

Well done to the boys after being a man down for a chunk of the game.

Thought Eddy and Gears did some terrific work along with other maligned players Gwilt and Sneaky Peakey.

Great win, was a really big game and we stood up and dominated for the majority. 18 points didn't really demonstrate our superiority.

Time to rest and recover now. 4 big games coming up, we need to win at least 2.

We've got to the break in a good position and Riewoldt is back in a few weeks.

Time for you to run away before your eyes fail you completely.

Glancing contact after the number a frees which were let go (including a massive arm chop on Kosi and a clear mark not paid to Goddard) was not worth a free. If Milne or Schneider got this sort of contact and went down like that the umpire would consider invoking the staging rule.

As for Goddard "running away", pffffft.

Loved Eddy's chase and tackles today!
I've been a critic, but I underestimated his pace... I thought he added alot, now to become a reliable shot on goal and he has a spot in this team.

To be fair, it was only in the last quarter that the really bad dicisions came. For most of the game it wasn't too bad.

I was upset with a few holding the ball decisions paid against us, then similar offences were committed by Freo all match that just were not paid.

Also Ballantine ran bakwards into Goddard then fell in the third to con a free, actually when you look at him - for a guy with such a low centre of gravity, he falls over VERY easily.

Great win. Called it in the first quarter when not only were they not scoring, but we were not letting them run and without having to work hard to do so which would have resulted in them possibly overrunning us late.
Goddard was great in the first half and Dal took over in the last. Kosi was better than normal and Milney got the scoreboard pressure on which we struggled to do.

However the best thing about this win and what makes it more special than what most people think is that I cant remember winning an interstate match where nearly all of our bottom end players really stood up.
Geary, Eddy, Peake, Ray, McQualter, Gwilt, Schneider all really great games.
