Incredibly Ken Hinkley breaks the record for the most unsuccessful coach in history tonight, with game 260.

Additionally Travis Boak breaks the record of the most games for the PAFC at AFL level.

A truly memorable occasion. Played in the monsoon that Port games somehow bring on even in the longest of droughts.

Port to win the inside 50 count by 11.

Carlton to win the game by less than a goal.

It's a tough competition and someone has to lose.

Our AO night game record of 33-32 inevitably has to balance back out.

8 point game, hugely important to head into the bye. Time for our leaders to stand up.

Lose this and we will be a laughing stock and once again will prove we are still down hill skiers and making up the numbers.

Port by 3 goals.. or 2.6 or 1.12

Dixon also to break the record for biggest turning circle since the construction of the QE2 in 1965 and glassiest ankles since Cinderella donned the slipper.

This will be the start our slide out of the top 8.

Unless JHF does JHF things.
If he’s off, sneak out and paint poker chips on the footy, that will get him motivated

How often do fans of the 3rd ranked team enter a clash with the 8th ranked team with a sense of dread - on our home deck, I might add.

Who knows what we'll see tonight?
The good Port Adelaide or the bad? Carlton over their past games have got out of the blocks quite early and sides have been able to peg them back. I particularly don’t want that tonight as we may throw in our lot early too. A good 4 quater effort will get the job done tonight. Port by 19 points.

It's OK - we'll just follow the blueprint of the Hawthorn game: fall 7 goals behind, and then score the winner with 2 seconds remaining. Happens all the time, right? :)

An impending sense of doom is very much warranted under these circumstances. It’s not based upon feelings birthed out of subjective emotion, but rather years of measurable objective data which points to a history failure.

These are the games we routinely lose, & it won’t be any different tonight.

Hard game to predict. Carlton don't play Adelaide Oval well. Neither do Port.

Quite a big game in the context of the season. If Port are to win they will entrench themselves in the top 4 and start to get separation on other chasers from the pack, whilst a loss brings them right back to the pack to the point they could be out of the 8 shortly after the bye.

If Port are to have any chance this year they need to make top 4. So a loss would be quite disastrous in the context of the overall season.

As Marmozet posted;

Night game at home ✅
Stand-alone/prime time/free to air ✅
Top 8 clash ✅

What could possibly go wrong?

Are we going to see more Hinkley Magic or are the players going to let their Daddy down again. We may not get the four points but hopefully we'll get some good learnings.

Carlton by 17.

I think I have reached the point of not caring as this team will achieve Jack 💩 whilst Hinkley and co. remain at the club.

New holding the ball rule will impact JHF
Good luck to them trying to enforce a new HTB rule they've never done before in the wet!
