If we play with the right attitude we can win this. Tough, fast footy will get it done.

Was evident last night how important making the most of your opportunities in front of goal, hopefully we can take our opportunities and keep the scoreboard ticking over. Can’t imagine anybody is expecting us to win, no reason we can’t.

At lot of people sound very confident about what they think will happen in this game (especially some of those east of the border). But at this point of a new season, anything can happen. We have no ****ing idea and won't til maybe half time tomorrow.

Absolutely smacked in our last 2 encounters against Collingwood at the G will do that to you.

2 x 70 point turnarounds.

I expect we will lose and comfortably. We have not played well against top sides away from home in the Hinkley era, in fact we usually get belted. Our biggest hope is that Collingwood are actually on a large decline, that hasn't become obvious yet.

McEntee played most of last season so I thought it would make people happy he isn’t playing but I was mistaken because now we are melting over emergencies.

Atkins isn’t as bad as this board makes him out to be.

Exactly why isn't Atkins "that bad"?

He was traded from the team that won the wooden spoon.
Played 37 AFL games in 5 seasons in a team never to play finals.
Played 37 games VFL games
30 years of age
Bog average.
We're supposedly paying him 500k per year.

It's poor list management and his selection is poor coaching.

At least we won't be bombing it in to Charlie tonight.
I'm kinda hoping that played into the decision to play such a short forwardline to the detriment of a second ruck - there's no option to revert to the old gameplan which a Lord or Visentini forward may have allowed.

That's probably giving the coaches too much credit though. I expect it becomes bomb it to Willie anyway.

At a real club, they are both desperado break glass type of players and any coach worth their salt would know they wouldn't contribute meaningfully to a premiership drive.
Even at made up clubs, they're not even on the list.

See: Gold Coast ceasing upon an opportunity to rid themselves to Aktins. And Gold Coast is willing to take anyone willing to play for them.

A tweak on the twin key forward line of Sam Gray and Jake Neade.

It's funny hearing the players publicly saying now that he's gone that they were "too Dixon conscious for far too long" and they're learning this year to play a different way , yet they denied this was the case for years?
The fact they admit they were Dixon conscious despite him being a useless stobie pole for half a decade says it all
