Let’s just say Sydney don’t make the GF this year.
I reckon you could pick two sides to play off and easily get both wrong.
That’s how close it is this year.

It would be a Steve Bradbury GF. I know you are more optimistic and positive about us than others, but no side bar Sydney - including us - have been to the usual level or consistency you’d expect for contenders. Collingwood may have been without injury. Carlton’s best does look ominous. Essendon have a Port like feel and look to the way they are travelling. Racking up wins but low percentage (which was our trait last year and this year) suggests they’re not going as strong as their win column suggests. Cats, Melbourne and GWS all worse than us.

We need to have at least another 6 players to pick up their form in the back half (preferably Aliir, Marshall, Georgiades, Rozee, Wines and Bergman), and then fix up the Burton/Jones issue probably with Bergman/Sinn. If JHF, Butters, Mead, Burgoyne, Rioli, Boak, DBJ, Houston, Ratugolea, BZT carry on or get stronger, and Lord comes back in some form, we might be able to get there. Might.
