Just got a Diancie code from EB Games, they seem to be in stores two days early.

They don't have many to go round though.
Have they sent an email about it...?

Some people got it. My brother and a mate did but I didn't for some reason.

It's not supposed to start until Monday but some stores got them early and have started giving them out.

Just for trivia's sake, I read that Nintendo trademarked 'Delta Emerald'. Given that starting from B/W there have been no 'third' games in each generation, I wouldn't think too much else about it.
They've done that for ages, it's ot be safe and even to throw people off Pretty sure there were rumours they'd trademarked Pokemon Grey before Black2/White2 came out.

I'd say the cycle has moved beyond the single edition reboots.

Not since Platinum have we seen one and that's not 4 games ago after this drops.

That being said - i still think they'll do Pokemon Z although some people say it will be Pokemon XZ and YZ

OR/AS
XZ/YZ

Don't know what the future holds after that at this stage.

Remake of Red/Blue on the 3ds?

I wish, wish wish wish, they would take on something a little more adventurous and have a game with more than one or even more than two regions. Limit the trainers in grinding areas, lessen the level gap between badges. And go through all the regions.

You could do it either two ways
[1] Continuous Run
Start with Kanto, but have less trainers and lower level gaps. Set the elite four at like level 40 or so. Brock Lvl 12 - Misty 16 - Surge 19 - Erika 24 - Sabrina 29/Koga 29 - Blaine 31 - Giovani 33. Then move onto the elite four with Lance having pokemon in the low 40's.

Move onto Johto - Elm gives you a level 40 starter (fully evovled? not evolved?) Move throw Johto's gym leaders, the levelling takes a bit longer here between. You can probably get through 8 gyms, story and the elite four before around level 60-65

Move onto Hoenn - get a Lvl 60 starter. Get through the 8 gyms and elite four. Again level progression is a bit slower. 40 levels for Kanto 25 for Johto - maybe like 18 or so for Hoenn. Takes you to lets say 75

Move onto Sinno - get a level 75 starter, it's even harder to level up now, might beat the elite four by level 85 or so.

Move onto Unova - get a level 85 starter, beat the elite four by like lvl 92

Move onto Kalos - get a lvl 90 starter, finish the Elite four and champion who has all level 100's

They would have to reduce experience, or require more experience the higher you go, but how awesome would it be to take your one individual character through all the regions, maybe with less bad team rocket shennanigans, make you a more realistic champion rather than a hero who is just out there to beat the game. Have th emajority of the story line focussed around different rivals. Have Blue form Kanto popping back throughout the series the entire time in random parts. Have a new rival in each region. Maybe th emajority of the story can be focussed on thsoe rivals, like maybe they try and steal one of your pokemon, or maybe they steal a key to get into a gym, stuff like that.

Beat all the regions, beat all the trainers, become a true pokemon master.

[2] Fresh Starts
Maybe like after you beat the Kanto Elite Four all your pokemon get perma boxed and the only ones you can use in the next region are those below the level of the starter you get. So you go to Johto and Elm gives you a Lvl 10 starter and you can take any pokemon under lvl 10 (probably after the first badge or something) with you. The rest (all your lvl 50+'s) stay boxed until much later on.

Kanto (Lvl 5 starters) - Proceed to Elite Four Lvl 50-55
Johto - (Lvl 10 starters) - Proceed to elite four Lvl 55-60
Hoenn - (Lvl 15 starters) - proceed to elite four Lvl 60-65
Sinnoh - (lvl 20 starters) - proceed to elite four Lvl 65-70
Unova - (lvl 25 starters) proceed to elite four Lvl 70-75
Kalos - (lvl 30 starters) proceed to elite four lvl 75-80 (maybe like halfway through this aprt you unlock all your old pokemon or something)

This is a bit more complex and unlikely and it kind of makes each story it's own arc rather than part of one big event. But it sort of is too. This game would result in a lot more pokemon being trained and a lot mroe levels earnt but it would be roughly the same length. The refreshing of the pokemon allows for more story line as you arent to worried about over levlling, may be a more traditional hero based story. Mega hero saving the world a thousand times.

I'd prefer option 1 - it would be amazing and it would be so cool to see them link the regions together.
Could you imagine versing Blue in Oak's office with a Charmander and a Squirtle and then versing him probably like 120+ hours of game time later with a Charizard vs a Blastoise in the final battle as the games true champion. Would be epic.

Are there any other trinitys?

Psychic > Fighting
Fighting > Dark
Dark > Psychic

Oooh baby that would be amazing, they could make it a more serious, darker story.
Grass -> Rock -> Ice -> Grass? ... o w8

Steel -> Rock -> Fire -> Steel? ... shit.

Flying -> Fighting -> Rock -> Flying?

They did use this trinity in X, but they stuffed up the users.

It should've been Grass/Fighting, Water/Psychic and Fire/Dark (or equivalent), rather than each one being weak twice.

All regions would be great but there's no way they'll do it, they make too much money doing what they currently do.

Not liking my chances of getting a Diancie code, had one EB tell me they are only giving them to people that have pr-ordered and another store say that it doesn't start until tomorrow. Hopefully I can get down there but probably wont have time with work. Why do they have to make it so difficult?

You don't have to pre-order or buy anything to get one, you should have questioned them on that.

Yeah, I might tomorrow but I had a very overtired 2 year old so didn't want hang around today. One thing i wont be doing is buying from there

Typical scummy EB.
