Can someone please explain why 34 has been vacant for the last couple of years?
My understanding from people that know these things is that 34 is a significant number with various properties that means that the jumper isn’t allocated without considerable thought.

34 is the ninth distinct semiprime and has four divisors including one and itself. Its neighbors, 33 and 35, also are distinct semiprimes, having four divisors each, and 34 is the smallest number to be surrounded by numbers with the same number of divisors as it has.

It’s hard to picture the player who could properly represent the smallest number to be surrounded by numbers with the same number of divisors as itself.

I’m not a fan of our club’s decisions for the most part these past few years, but I am supportive of their caution in this matter
