I tend to agree, you can't prove Maxwell did anything other than tell his family that he was playing up forward, i'm pretty sure he's allowed to do that. There would have to be evidence that maxwell participated in the betting. I don't think that has been proven, or even can be proven

What purpose does the 6-week suspended sentence serve? If he gets done again, surely he'd be de-registered.
Maxwell didn't KNOW his family placed the bet?? HAHAHA!! Your kidding right? SO he tells them he is playing up forward ( probably also tells them he is $100 to 1 to kick the first goal) and they then think "hey I am going to bet on this, but SHhhhh, I won't tell Nick that I am doing it, I'll just wish him luck and keep it a secret from him...SHHHHH.... When I think about gambling being an issue in sport I think about bets in the $1,000's of dollars or throwing games - I just don't understand how a $20 bet equates to this sort of suspension being warranted.
