Where is the siren? Peel hopeless second half , Claremont should have won easily with 10.19 it should have won by a few goals

Having 2.5 rucks didn’t help. Only Tragenza up forward.

Reidy has gone backwards. After the GWS game late last year and WAFL finals I thought he had progressed.

Don’t mind the look of Riddle but he should be playing a bit of reserves really.

Aish and Brodie where they should be and that isn’t AFL.

Cooper some promising signs but needs to work on his defensive efforts. Good to see him get some pill and nice run out of defence.

Some of the umpire HTB decisions were difficult to understand, especially the one against Narkle. Thought Narkle was pretty good.

Reidy should be playing reserves. He’s diabolically bad.

Who’s ever made the decision to keep him and not Knobel needs a bloody examination

Not sure Knobel is doing much better at GCS reserves.

But I’ve decided Reidy is cooked. Can’t be going backwards. Possibly bulked up too much as his mobility and jumping ability gone to poop.

Darcy likely needs another run in WAFL. They can take Reidy to Gather round for a holiday.

Darcy looks a month away , very sluggish

Young showed his class , didn’t do much defensive running that I could see

Reidy was pox

Cooper Simpson probably looks good on the stats sheet and was composed when he had it but a lot of kick outs but not much burst from the backline

Aish was OK

Davies going backwards

Narkle looked well short of a run

Mc Donald was OK

Brodie was clearance or bust

And that was about it for the Freo lads

Very lucky to get a draw , stopped to a walk

Young Peel player Long on debut looked lively but is very short and seemed more half fwd than small fwd

I didn't see the game but Simpson looks to be developing nicely gathering 30 touches across HB.
At least 10 of them from kick-ins but he should be ahead of Worner if we have any sense within 2 months

I liked that last one he did showed his composed decision making where he ran and bounced about 40metres to the 50 before kicking long.

I don’t think he has ever got 20 possessions (in the WAFL) before so even just 20 (30 less 10 behind kick outs) is a win for Cooper.

6 goals in 2 games?

Reading this was hilarious 😂

Aish: omg Aish is on fire, should be in instead of Worner > he is just dialling it today > he is where he belongs

Cooper: omg he is the the HBF Messiah we been looking for > unsighted this qrter > needs work on his defense
All our players looked worse when they got tired

According to footywire Knobel is out of contract (and a free agent) end of this year. If we actually want him, let him know we're delisting Reidy and give him 2 years, and that he'll play if either Darcy or Jackson are injured.

That should be the easiest 10 minutes work our list management have ever done.

It's clearly the way forward with him.and our backline desperately needs his type. The weirdest with him is that I think he seems to have terrible decision making without the ball but good with ball so often.

If the WAFL camera wasn't horrible I'd rewatch and specifically just follow him off ball and defensively.

All true in the flow of the game treating it as s game thread.

Young into the bigs next week.

Claremont got a big lift from Bolton in the last quarter and England was good all game.

You have to give some praise to Eastland who was getting worn down in the wrestling that goes on in the ruck battles but around the ground he picked up so many possessions. Reidy did have one good patch with taps rucking in the 3rd quarter but really struggled to move around the ground and was a liability in the forward line - plus he gave away a few too many free kicks in the last quarter - most in the ruck but also up forward.

Actually thought Davies was composed with his reading of the play and defended well for most of the game without being a dominant player, but certainly not going backwards as mentioned by another poster. Similar McDonald.

Aish had a good defensive game and close to the best at half time. Was tough when he needed to be. Kick-in was probably an error that cost a goal although couldn't really see what happened ahead and if the Peel player he was kicking it to waited for it and didn't do anything to protect the ball. Later in the game he was put under more pressure but people go nuts when the opposition is on top and through weight of numbers with the opposition dominating inside 50's a defender loses out in a contest that leads to a goal, when the contests being lost are happening all around the ground.

Brodie clears the ball and reads the favourable taps. Still the same problem when he gets into a chain of possession and he gets clear into space and it's a matter of ball use, his disposal going forward is so ineffective. Best thing he did late was on the last Peel goal where he dived desperately to tap the loose ball across to a teammate that led to the kick going to the square where Tregenza got the marking contest infringement free kick.

Narkle had an effective game overall, but nothing exceptionally classy other than being able to step a couple of tackles, but does he only use his right foot?

Carr was well beaten on his wing after a promising start.

It's good to see Simpson getting lots of kicks and using the ball well, so that position suits him for now.

Darcy had to battle but he did also tap a few straight to our mids. Not sure if he's ready. Would need to do more around the ground but I suspect was on limited minutes.

Riddle looks a good prospect. He did some 1%ers that don't show up in his stats with contest and follow up - looked tired in the last quarter and the set up in Peel's forward line at the end was too tall and Claremont were rebounding without much pressure. Minear moved forward to back after the Claremont tall defender was carried off the ground and got the ball ahead of Riddle in a couple of entries - but the delivery into the forward line from Peel in the last quarter was random.
