Ovens & Murray discussion 2023

Ive done a lot of homework on Albury, they rely on 4-5 players, no game plan and very disorganised, a few softy’s getting around out there too, tipping a 4 goal win to the visitors. Expect Raiders to nudge the walking wounded, NA are a 6 goal better side than Lavi.

Raiders gave it a nudge. Then the game started

I think playhq must have the scores wrong

Someone overseas kicked some goals

And the big number seems to not be against the Rovers name

I think there's more to play out

Half the man the Chicken is, game in the balance, two players free, anyone with some footballing IQ would’ve centred it. What’s he do? Sells some unnecessary candy and has a shot on the left foot from the car park, incredibly selfish. What a bloody missed opportunity, what more do the players want from Muzza? You can only carry so much, Filo lion hearted once again.

Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable, sold some candy twice, he thought he was Filo. He’s lucky Crezza wasn’t coaching!

He kicked a miracle goal from the forward pocket on the wrong side for a right footer, a one in 100 chance, shoulda centred it. He doesn’t appear to be a team player, maybe that’s his brief.

1-When Rovers went forward they kicked it down the throats of Albury defenders.

2-Rovers kicked 7 goals in a row by simply going in in harder for the ball, it wasn’t due to slick ball movement.

3-Albury on top with clearances by a country mile

4-Rovers lost one player in the first qtr, one in the second and one in the last

Good game but Albury big blokes did some damage. When Albury got clear they moved it untouched from the backline to give their forward a shot at goal.

Rovers are in the conversation but they can’t afford injuries, especially to the second ruck as happened early today.

Crezza wouldn’t allow such a selfish player in his team to begin with. You break one of his team rules and he won’t select you again, he once told a player at quarter time he’d never play under him again, left him on the pine for three quarters.

We won’t have umpires soon. The old ones are retiring. There’s not much left underneath them.
for all the shite on this “ discussion “ that is possibility the most accurate comment . All leagues had a full book this weekend . Not sure how many “club” umpires were needed? The clubs will need a shite load more ( club umpires) next year and they already have trouble getting trainers , etc . You might find 2 3rds players rostered on to boundary umpire the seniors .

Your last comment isn’t a bad idea.
And if paid the same as they boundary Umpires now. Some clubs will have a waiting list

At such a high level Milwaukee should be used, we’re getting refurbished Ryobi and I’m bloody fed up.
well , you know what to do . wang tuesday thursday 6 pm. plus you might like to read the AFL vic rule book . I fully recommend it . ( reading the rules that is ) ( attending training that was)

So you agree the Rovers are simply making up the numbers

Umpires need to be paid more to get ex players involved, major league footy needs to $600 a game for umps, the afl should fit the bill to encourage better umpires
not sure , but is there 1 ex omfnl player umpiring? senior player that was . or any level ? ( i would imagine netball might be different?) The interesting thing is , umpiring requires a greater commitment than playing . Retired players aren’t interested in that , nor are their partners and kids . big problem
