The only accurate measurements taken these days are at the draft camp. The official AFL heights are supplied by the players themselves.
Moore isn’t exactly “these days”, he was drafted 10 years ago now. And it’s pretty clear he’s 200+ cm now, he’s pretty much the same height as Cameron who’s 204.

I am pretty sure a while back I suggested trading Noble and Markov and was howled down?
Probably because the idea of us getting trade value for a player who was already traded for peanuts, then delisted then only picked up by us as a last minute LTI replacement, is madness.

Having lost Noble's relentless run-and-carry from the back half, I'm surprised that we've axed Markov, who is the most like-for-like replacement.

and Ball use is about the Same

I suppose in the last two seasons it was either Noble or Markov.
Now that we have Houston, Oleg is surplus to requirements.
Ash is a shadow of the player we drafted unfortunately, he seems totally devoid of confidence.
At least Markov offers something around the club. Seems like a great bloke who trains hard and probably well liked. I’d like to see him stay at the Pies as a rookie.

Anyone think given that footage of Reef/Dean/Long training together a few weeks back, that they knew they were gonna be given a contract? Or is it just a coincidence?
Not a coincidence, but not knowing they were going to be given a contract. They were all in the same boat of needing to wait until after the trade period, so they probably supported each other during that time.

It's mostly considered an unwritten rule between clubs not to snake players being transferred, but I think it'd be a different story if you put the word out that you were okay with them going elsewhere other clubs would be willing to consider them on their merit

I think it's just that the blokes who are delisted and re-drafted aren't very good.

The Greenwood situation is because GC is a total different economy. Their bottom kids are usually highly drafted draftees, so they probably didn't have one that they were willing to lose.

But even with Greenwood, North wooed him and convinced him to come. No one is trumping someone in the draft like that and drafting a guy like that if he wants to remain at his club.

Honestly, I’d try to come up with a settlement for AJ and delist him. I’d use his spot to target a rookie who is 195cm and has taken more than 2 contested marks in a game over the past 12 months.
Clubs have done that, but doesn't seem to be something we do unless like with Clurey at port; its a mutual decision where the player knows he wont be in consideration next year.
