Having a knee in the shape of a late-30’s-to-40-year-old is not a big deal. Most people of that age have perfectly healthy knees.

Yeah I read it & immediately thought that's a bit insulting to 30-40 year old knees

I’m surprised most AFL footballers don’t have the knees of “late 30-to-40 year olds”. It’s not as if your average late 30 to 40 year old spends their twenties subjecting their knees continually to a stop/start/change-of-direction sport.

Didn’t seem to impede Andrew McLeod and silk Burgoyne. Both were reported to have dodgy knees and they went reasonably well

He did play 6 years of AFL and is well versed in explaining to people the mistakes not to make. Sometimes that sort of insight is invaluable. i'm sure there were mental health issues with Stevo also, which didn't help his career
