Saints op showing 0 class in their post match thread. You'd think, given their famously succesful history of collecting kitchenware, they'd have a touch more humility.
let the minnow dwarfs have their day in the sun

Ease up. They just won their second flag today.
i find it hilarious that the aints beat us by the same margin in our premiership year as they did today

Must be hard for supporters of St Kilda, for 30 years they thought we had sunk to their level and then they watched us win 3 flags while all they have is black and white pictures of their old players wearing Collingwood jumpers.

Hawks were getting regularly smashed under Mitchell and it took him time to turn it around.

Honestly, I don’t think Yze will be there when we turn it around, but I trust the club to make the right choices for the long term.

That’s largely right. First year of Mitchell as coach Hawks were 13th. Second year Hawks were 16th. 5 games into year three they were 0-5, then they popped.

And how many of the Hawks top-liners at peak age left a year after Mitchell started? None.

It would’ve been like losing Moore, Sicily, Worpel and Amon leading into year two.

I’ll wait until some games post bye when we’ve added to today’s team a selection of Gibcus, Balta, Smillie, Hotton, Faull, Alger, Lefau, J Clarke, Banks, Hugo, McCauliffe (then Prestia as well).

Hoos Admittedly, I missed the first quarter (where the Giants scored 37 of their 64 points) but for three quarters of complete and utter invisibility, I can’t go past Jake Stringer for tonight’s Heppell
I'll have to take your word for it as I didn't get to see a second of any game yesterday.

I can't say I'm surprised that old Jake has made himself available for nomination this early in the season though. Has he ever played a decent game against decent opposition since 2016?

Jake Stringer is a multiple Dyson Heppell award winner.
In fact if the award was to be renamed the Jake Stringer award would be a worthy candidate.
