watched bits of the game u18 boys.. didn't know any of the players, so hard to watch really..
Is there anywhere we can find stats or commentary etc?

good win for the boys, the Goldy team is prob pretty highly rated with a lot of top end talent

Yep. I can't watch a game if I don't know the players.
Would love some commentary.

https://central.rookieme.com/afl/ - they will do a write up soon I am guessing.

They seem to do way more women's draft stuff than men's, so sometimes you have to dig through to find the content you want.

Nil by on stats.

Commentary is occassional but usually without.

On rewatch will see if I can do a rough stats could if anyone wants particular players

The parts of the game I watched in the first quarter I was impressed by a number 05 but he wasn't on the instagram team announcement and we seemed to also have a few high 30s numbers who also weren't on the teamheet. I couldn't see King at all in that quarter. Carmichael did look good in that first quarter

King no.33, was the only player I recognised in the bits n pieces I watched.. he was everywhere (up forward marking and kicking goals.. at centre bounces.. linking plays in transition) and it seemed the team really looked for him

Managed to catch the game in full.

Overall notes:
  • Back six were very well organised and disciplined overall. Marshalled well by Carmichael, Morahan and Beavis (now sans fro which made him difficult to identify).
  • Mids had a rotation through with Clifton and Leonaduzzi splitting the rucking.
  • Forward line was decent but need to work on leading patterns to get space - this was not helped with delivery into the i50 at times with leads being missed

Flow of the game saw the suns get out and lead up until mid way into the third where we seemed to grind them down. It looked like our workrate really helped up. At on point we were 20 points down, 10 minutes into the third before getting ahead by 3 qtr time. From there was a bit more franetic in the fourth with swans holding off the suns

Players:
9. Harrison - played his usual game, picking up contested marks and going forward to slot one or two goals. Should honestly be playing more VFL for his development.

10. Carmichael - For mine, best on for the swans. Racked up possessions from the backline and was the main conduit getting it out from HBF. Quick estimate, had 30 plus disposals and used it very well from the back. Main knock in the game was use going i50 with some errant passes. Is a "cake" player in that you would back him in to hit 100 games.

11. Will Jenkins - in my mind, the more defensive winger of the twins who IMO had the better game out of the two. Was industrious and has very good footy IQ. Does not mind putting his body on the line

14. McNamara - really liked his game rotating off of HBF and through the mids at times. Has demonstrated more of an ability in the marking contest. Would definitely be worth a rookie spot

20. Guy Jenkins - was industrious, like his brother up and down the wing. Nothing particularly new about his game that hasn't already been stated previously, was up and down the wing all day, went when he had to and was slightly more forward than his brother.

26. Beavis - played a less noticeably game with the fro but played exceptionally well on one of the suns Key in tandem with Morahan.

29. Morahan - was the dominant force in the backline, intercepting and taking his opponent out of the game. Is a good reader of the ball in flight and able to effectively kill contests for the match

30. Chamberlain - not a flashy game by his standards but was used on wings and up forward. His field kicking is to a high standard and you trust him with ball in hand.

32. Leonarduzzi - The points I had coming in the 4th was good in the ruck, but need more around the ground. In the 4th, he game more around the ground; taking a nice contested mark and converting. Dominant ruck for mine

33. King - After a scintillating six goals last game, came back to earth a bit. However, this was an almost game for King. He could have had three goals including a 40m set shot snap that hit the post and run from the wing endinghot that went wide. Ended up with 1.3, with his only goal being from a strong mark 25m out.****

35. McCartney - Showed a bit of the promise that he had in the u16s. Was a presenve in the i50, kicking three. One from a checkside banana 15 out, one from a strong mark on the lead near the boundary and a nice snap in congestion with physical pressure.

****For the game, I saw him on ball for all of five minutes at the end of the second. Had a few possies and two clearance. Made his own space in middle. For some reason, I feel like making a tin foil hat....

Interesting is the soccer term organised , we really are not talking aussie anymore

Back 6 were organised , that's a soccer term that's all

Not sure else how I would describe or indicate that the two KPDs, two HBFers, third tall and back pocket were structurally integrated and in a systematic order for maximum effectiveness... but will keep that in mind

I'm told the Translate App's next version will include Bedfordian.

Great job on the reports mate.

Very good from you , are you interested in BedBet odds on the Academy games and we even have odds on who will be drafted , our draft expert LP1 is working on it before his nuptials
