I guess we will be trading future picks for King as well as our whole 2025 picks….

I wonder if that means the others are a better chance of getting to be very late picks or rookie listed….
Reckon King and Chamberlain will definitely get called in the National Draft, McNamara a decent chance to make it through to the Rookie, Carmichael is the tricky one. As a medium defender, though he's very good, one has to hope he's not super popular.

Expanding on the above results, Max not only came =2nd in running vertical jump (left) at 98cm, but also came 2nd in the running vertical jump (right) at 94cm (1cm off the top result of 95cm)

Kaiden Macnamara came =4 in the running vertical jump (right) as well at 92cm

Top 10 results from the 2025 under-18 pre-season testing days

For those who have watched King can he grow into a KPF? His height suggests he may need to be a medium forward or a very big midfielder.

Height wise, no clue. Could grow but early bday goes against him.

His best position would be ala Bont - burst mid who can play in the forward line as a third target type

If my U18 team were playing against a team with Max King I'd be asking to check his birth certificate. He looks like he's going on 40. His body also looks like a man's - does that mean he might have a lower ceiling and look better now (because he's playing against boys)? And could that mean he slides at the draft? Outstanding results at the combine suggest otherwise. Excellent speed and leap as well as his size.

That was the exact argument that people had when looking at Josh Dunkley's underage performances. I now think that if he can play footy then he can play footy.

I was curious about the background of our academy boss Harmit Singh. I don't think i have ever heard of someone from an Indian (Fijian) background in the AFL. I found a really good write up about him from 9 years ago. Sounds like he has got to where he has through sheer determination and against the odds. It would be a great story if he eventually became an AFL head coach.

I just realised the Jenkin twins are not only bottom agers, they're LATE NOVEMBER bottom agers. They won't turn 17 until 25/11 this year. To be performing at the level they currently are, when they're about 5 weeks off being u16s, is super impressive.

Only knock on them is size. Both very smart players, just need size to compete at next level IMO.
