Hadn't been keeping up with this news and I thought they were announcing that it was being produced, not possible releasing. I'm so excited now.
I only started a new playthrough of Skyrim last week so I'm right in Elder Scrolls mode.
The 360 was the first console I bought myself and Oblivion was the only game I had for quite a while. It was the only game I needed for quite a while.

Just happen to have 2 weeks off starting Friday to help my wife recover from surgery.

Up on Steam now. $84.95 for the base version and $99.95 for the deluxe. Thankfully the base game also has the DLC so you only need the deluxe version for extra weapons, armour, horse armour, and some extra quests.

It's out. $84.95 for standard, $99.95 for deluxe (going by Microsoft store, as I'm on Series X). Also on Game Pass, though I'll probably by as I want to own it.

Gentlemen, say goodbye to the rest of your lives for the next few weeks.

Bought it within seconds of the announcement. Absolute hype. Better than I would of thought.

Me now to my internet to download quicker.

I was tossing up between Gamepass and buying. I think Gamepass first then will buy on Steam in the future when it's discounted and time for a replay.

I haven't played this in so long. I had it on both PS3 and PC when it came out but actually never played any of the expansions so those will be a first!

Is it downloading absurdly slow for anyone else on Xbox Gamepass?

I've always found downloading Gamepass stuff or anything from Microsoft for that matter hit and miss. Try pausing it and restarting it a few times until it finds a better mirror. If you see it start to slow down again do the same. Microsoft have a few east coast Aus data centres including Melbourne and Sydney so it shouldn't be so bad to get a good connection.

My downloads tend to go pretty fast on my Xbox with games I buy or from gamepass.

love oblivion. there's still a semblance of having to work through the ranks of your guild, rather than becoming the leader because the current leader likes a thing you did. the 4 potion limit makes play a bit harder, especially without automatic health regen. hence the skyrim in-jokes about restoration skill.

and as much as i like oblivion, doesn't matter how good the oblivion gates might look, there's probably still only about 4-5 different ones. that, and your enemies stop being randomised after a point. will vicariously enjoy this one until it goes on a deep discount.

I'm on a 250mbps connection and the best I can get from Xbox Windows app at the moment is 64mbps when with Steam, Epic and even my Playstation will max my line speed. It has been this way for years but sometimes you can pause the download in Gamepass, go to Windows store and resume there and then notice you're getting full speed in Xbox app which means there must be some funky server prioritisation on the MS end.
