What a absolutely stonking team we’re fielding - right through to the emergencies!!! If we hit our straps at all, we will not lose. The weather is the biggest threat to us - given it’s the great leveller. However, we can’t say we we’re not more used to it than any other team. Nerves are seriously jangling, though. We deserve this…

🤣 Our interchange bench is nearly our strongest line.

No doubt, Brisbane will have done their homework. They’ll know how we dismantled them in R1 and will make the necessary tweaks. However, we’re so well-balanced, you’d have to think they’ll get exposed in other areas. Having said that, Brisbane are the Melbourne Storm of the competition (even more-so than Adelaide - in my view). They expect to win. If we don’t blow them right off the park by three quarter time, they’ll reckon they’ll have a real sniff.

Birch, Wall and Tripodi are a hell of a trio to add to our GF team from last year.

It is such testament to Ruby's work that she's mentioned in the same sentence as an all time GAA gun and two time AFLW premiership player

She has been quietly vital to our midfield this year. Does so much work that allows the stars to thrive. I believe in her!

Add Bruton as well 💪

Jeez, you're right. God that was unlucky last year. I reckon she'll be itching.

Personally (and selfishly) I'm reaaaaaally hoping it doesn't rain.

My 5 year old daughter is so excited for the Grand Final, and this will be her first ever night game of footy. I'm already concerned that she'll be tired and cranky, but add in rain to that mix at open and exposed Ikon Park? Yuck.
The dilemma is whether to sit in the grandstand under cover, with the play predominantly on the opposite side of the ground, or behind the bench which is exposed and has poorer facilities but is closer to the action, and will have the stage facing the right way.

Another reason I hate Ikon; the bench and the player's race are on OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE OVAL.

I didn’t know the bench side was an option - thought it was for friends and family and AFL officials (so they can watch the show).

Bloody stupid when 90% of the crowd is on the other side of the ground.

Yeah I think you can’t go over that side as I tried last year

Nah it's GA/open.

It's run-down, old, and rough. And very exposed to the elements.

But it's an option! It's where me and my kid sat for the 2nd half of this week's prelim, and she spent a lot of the time making friends with Nat Edwards :tearsofjoy:

I think the friends and family have been near the race this year as our team has swapped to the rooms on the other side of the ground. The opposition supporters have been congregating behind the bench.
