AFLW 2024 - the Grand Final - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Birch, Wall and Tripodi are a hell of a trio to add to our GF team from last year.
Going in super pessimistic.
I don't want to be hurt again.
Especially with the weather.
Add Bruton as wellBirch, Wall and Tripodi are a hell of a trio to add to our GF team from last year.
And a chip on our shoulder. I’m nervous but cannot see how the girls let this opportunity for payback go.I'm the same. The pressure is insane. Hope the girls are ready, but I genuinely don't know how much readier they could be. No injuries, no losses, 300%...
It is such testament to Ruby's work that she's mentioned in the same sentence as an all time GAA gun and two time AFLW premiership player
Add Bruton as well
… and Jenna - effectively.Birch, Wall and Tripodi are a hell of a trio to add to our GF team from last year.
The dilemma is whether to sit in the grandstand under cover, with the play predominantly on the opposite side of the ground, or behind the bench which is exposed and has poorer facilities but is closer to the action, and will have the stage facing the right way.Personally (and selfishly) I'm reaaaaaally hoping it doesn't rain.
My 5 year old daughter is so excited for the Grand Final, and this will be her first ever night game of footy. I'm already concerned that she'll be tired and cranky, but add in rain to that mix at open and exposed Ikon Park? Yuck.

I didn’t know the bench side was an option - thought it was for friends and family and AFL officials (so they can watch the show). The dilemma is whether to sit in the grandstand under cover, with the play predominantly on the opposite side of the ground, or behind the bench which is exposed and has poorer facilities but is closer to the action, and will have the stage facing the right way.
Bloody stupid when 90% of the crowd is on the other side of the ground. The dilemma is whether to sit in the grandstand under cover, with the play predominantly on the opposite side of the ground, or behind the bench which is exposed and has poorer facilities but is closer to the action, and will have the stage facing the right way.
Yeah I think you can’t go over that side as I tried last yearI didn’t know the bench side was an option - thought it was for friends and family and AFL officials (so they can watch the show).

I think the friends and family have been near the race this year as our team has swapped to the rooms on the other side of the ground. The opposition supporters have been congregating behind the bench.I didn’t know the bench side was an option - thought it was for friends and family and AFL officials (so they can watch the show).
It depends which way you walk. If you go clockwise, you can walk in front of the admin buildings. But if you go counter clockwise around the Legends Stand, I think you run into a fence blocking access.Yeah I think you can’t go over that side as I tried last year
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!Dare I say
