My first thought is always this album, I was 16 at the time and it was one of the first albums I purchased.... oh the good old days. :shoutyoldman:

The 70's were a wild decade where almost anything went. Todays kids would be outraged at some of the stuff that went on, like our grand parents probably were.

When I think back I think I'm just lucky to still be alive.

Some of the things that were the norm for a large swathe of young people you'd end up in jail for now.

In hindsight it was shameful but didn't seem to be a problem to anyone at the time.

I’m being gas lit on the mainboard into believing that the saints great defensive numbers aren’t a result of them having their entire team behind the ball but rather because their back 6 are all guns + that their A graders will still be A graders when the saints next compete for a flag even though they’ll probably be mid 30s by then.

lol ask them why their first 3 picks in the draft were all defenders.

Saints supporters are a funny lot.

The ones who aren't victims enough to post on SM seem to have a glum acceptance that they're never destined to be any good. And history tells you why.

The ones who feel the need to talk publicly about their prospects are just delusional.

Longmire was a fantastic coach and a true statesman of the gane.

Geez footy has made giant strides in credibility north of the Barassi Line under people like Lethal, Roos, Longmire and Fages. Coaching a northern club isn’t just a coaching role, it’s a stewardship where the ongoing viability of the code is in your hands.

We owe them a lot.

Andrew Ireland and Greg Swann not far behind them.
