It's why I have a lot of time for Ray. But then that same consistency is the reason people moan about him inserting himself into the game and being "look at me" when that's literally his job.

If we get through today, we need to remember not to play waiting for the whistle/free kick. It's not going to come so we just have to keep playing on.

I’d take that same thought into today’s game tbh. The AFL are halfway to getting their dream match up now.

I like Razor as well, the problem in that case would be the consistency of interpretation would be so stark... as it already is I suppose with 4 umpires potentially viewing the same incident differently.

Umpires are usually taught to go with their instincts and I struggle to see how you see that happen and don't call it.

YIN n YANG...what do you expect here? Toby.....will never get a free kick for pushing ump and Nick the AFLs love child. It was always going to be play on.

It really was outstandingly poor umpiring. GWS should’ve taken their chances better but none of those guys should be umpiring a GF. Simple as that.

Definitely prefer to have Collingwood as a potential opponent next week than GWS

Going back the last 20 years or so, the record of interstate teams in the GF against Vic opponents is..not great

As for the umpiring, let @hasumpstuffedup have the last say on that. I can't see Rosebury getting the big one

daicos could have murdered someone on the field last night and still play in the grand final

Don’t think anything in it, but daniels having to go off for HIA assessment when they let weitering stumble around last week is a bit off

It's difficult to know but looking at how things unfolded you'd have to say there's a reasonable argument that it cost them the game.

Well I'll be..! A replay from last week. Exactly the same thing happened to Toby in that game and nothing to see here.....and again last night..

..does make you seriously consider if there is a list of players to ignore for the umpires

It's at least the fourth time the exact same action has been called play on on Toby this year.
