Fox Footy team is so much better, you got Papalia, Pavlich, Simpson and Schofield.

Far better than the mediocre commentary teams 7 dishes up.

What an opening round in the the world’s most even, fair and well umpired game.

Just thrilling stuff. I for one loved the split round and didn’t think it was an absolute blight on the game at all. No no - one extra week of talking heads and advertising space. Just what we need to appease our broadcast overlords.

No free to air you say? A pox on those pensioners.

I also loved Freo getting the privilege of Geelong in Geelong at 10am Saturday morning Perth time - just my favourite repeat slot. Evening game? No not for us. Early bird gets the worm!

And don’t even get me started on the outrageous audit of poor victimized Geelong - the most honest and well managed club going. We should all get billionaire shadow backers - perhaps that’s the afl’s next equalization drive.

And totally cool for all WA fans to then schedule west coast on Sunday arvo - and against the most compromised team out there to boot! It’s just fair, totally rationale treatment. It’s not like we are an afl heartland or anything and deserve respect and investment.

What a season this is shaping up to be.
