Seems a shame for JUH if it's a depression-related thing. Wasn't that long ago Tom Boyd retired at a VERY early age. It's a serious problem and it still gets swept under the rug a lot these days. I think he had a death in the family the other year, maybe that is linked?! I don't know, remiss of me to speculate really....it's just....such a fishbowl of a life for them, many of them - and no matter what we think and the scrutiny they know they'll get put under, they're still just ordinary humans at the end of the day and not everyone can cope with it all.

I can't help but think...Yarran; Balic...McCarthy. The ups & downs with Hogan. Football isn't everything; football isn't life. Life isn't just football

Reckon Sydney should be all over JUH. Turn Warner into JUH and they might be better overall, as they currently have one of the worst bunch of KPF's in the competition. Get him out of the fishbowl and they have Buddy up there to mentor him.

Rumours of him associating with bad influences and spending his off time in ways that might let himself down. But just rumours.
Eek, if the rumours are true....well, needless to say he needs to sort his life out. The fishbowl life for young men exposed to many temptations is a trap so many can't seem to avoid. But you have to be willing to do the "work". It's a fine balance and sometimes, a big ask of men so young and volatile. A case of too much too soon.

I just hope we don't end up with another Balic/Yarran/McCarthy on our hands. For any player. Of any club
