I recall Balmey doing something like that to John Cunningham (I think it was him anyway) of WT at Norwood Oval. Probably in his first year at Norwood.
I'm sure the earth shook on impact.

According to 5aa this morning, SEN aren't paying their bills for advertising in SA and the debt collectors are being called in.

Can't see SEN's SA station hanging around much longer, and hopefully this is the start of the empire falling.

They've been one of the worst things to happen to the AFL media landscape.

I wouldn't laugh too soon: that's just like here. ;)

Don’t think there’s many, if any, calling for Nicks to be sacked. Largely it’s a discussion between off-season extension and waiting for mid-season to see how the year is unfolding. Most of the negative views include him being a good coach, but doubts as to whether he has the ability to make the right calls needed to win a flag.

Racist slip of the tongue.

Not defending Tex nor his comments. It was dumb. But the penalty society demands on such an incident is completely out of proportion to the affects it has on the victims life. The AFL's penalty clearly was out of fear of negative PR more than compensating for all the oppression in the victims life as a result of Tex's comments...oh wait, there was none. A fine and a community course on racism was all that should have occurred.

I believe SEN have just $1M remaining of a $28M Line Of Credit

They have expanded too quickly .....too lavishly, moving from reasonable accommodation, to ultra lavish offices in Southbank .....and sent squads of commentators to America for NFL Games ect

AND for some stupid reason, purchased the Perth Wildcats and have put their hands up for the COLL Netball side, that's been losing money

Can they pull their head in ? .....apparently the tipping point is mid 2024, and they're chasing an investor to bail them out

They are sending debt collectors in Adelaide and some partners are removing signage. They might not last that long.

Who could have guessed Hutchinson would have ****ed it up

Negative media is their issue.

Their "journalists" would rather be the story rather than report a story.

The AFL media industry is also over saturated.

I have given up most Footy media the last few years, and finding I am enjoying the actual sport much better.

So Port only have a 2nd and 3rd round pick next year as well. How are they going to get 2024's missing piece?
If you look at the health of our list compared to theirs, we appear to be in a much better place - and the 3 guys we got this time out all 1st rounders add to that. We also have a full suite of 24 picks and a very highly regarded F/S coming too

Port would want to win it next year or it might be a long time before they get another chance..but I don't think their list is strong enough for a real flag tilt - hope I am not proven wrong.

It's pretty smart really. When it all eventually falls apart, the AFL will go "what do you mean you don't have first round picks, and haven't had for 5 years" and have to give them a few.
With the squad that Port have, they will neither win the flag, nor bottom out. Their supporters dont see it yet, but they are in no mans land.

They will be like Geelong, without the flags.
