All the more reason to get the HTB calls correct - game depends on it so much more and if you're trying to score from turnovers in the back half by applying pressure the missed calls really hurt you.

Especially as you're not allowed to go too far in completing the tackle. Nothing more frustrating than nailing a player for a clear HTB, then it doesn't get paid and they just let the ball dribble out to a teammate with no pressure on them.

Freo have looked crap but, gee, Geelong are getting a nice rub of the green. Even moreso than usual down there.
They were last years fairytale team!
It was pretty good. Might be best for the round. Lots of games still. Eddie Betts isn't playing anymore, so you don't see this, and crazier stuff every week like we used to.
That said: Not sure he was actually trying to kick a goal, I think he was putting it to the goalsquare.
Damn Freo look awful.
I've now seen 3 clear incorrect disposal/HTB should have been paid against Geelong, but anything resembling HTB being paid against Freo.
Some real horrible signs, sure I had Geelong finishing top of my prediction ladder but Freo look dreadful, same old issues with game style, disposal and confused forward line that’s always been there under Longmuir

Given they’ve not paid ones going 20m, that was certainly an interesting call
If someone had been kicking in from the goal line to where Stengle was they would have paid not 15m.

I thought Freo would be a big improver this year. They only seem to play well against the AC.
