I'm hearing strong rumours tonight that NFNL H/O and Board have already signed off on Ressa getting 50 player points to use in 2025.

New chairman to the board may have his first fire to put out 🔥
Their strategy was not to announce any recruits that had already signed until signed off by league so all recruits could be revealed after confirmation. There was fear league would not approve the request if recruits started rolling out while the request was being deliberated on.

HO will delay announcing this til the week before the season starts so less time for clubs to complain and less time for them to deal with the fallout!
What a ****ing joke if true..
The league is full of morons it wouldn’t shock me.

They’ve won a more recent flag than every club bar Laurimar in the division and now being gifted extra points after recruiting 3 ex AFL players and a number of other senior players.

Make it make sense.

Agree with the above. Was talking with some senior sections of our footy club and VERY, VERY unhappy with lack of discussion and understanding around the process.

As I have said previously, extra points to rebuild a struggling club makes sense - but utilising extra points to load up on previously VERY well paid and elite level experienced players looks to be something that needed more conversation/communication. Taking the pi$$ IMO.

OEC - 3 (in 4 seasons)
Mernda - 4 (1 in div 2)

Kilmore - 2 (2 in 7 seasons)

Ivanhoe 1 season in comp, won a vafa flag in 2022.

Reservoir clearly did it to themselves and have had concessions most years since being reintroduced to the league since coming out of recession. Same thing will end up happening and the lague will be picking up the scraps again.
