Gave it a good crack for the first years back in divvy 1, but eventually it falls away when you keep bringing in players and that's the culture rather than building a side. Nature of divvy 1

I think it’s more the nature of the club then Div 1. The same 7-8 sides have been in Div 1 for a long time. Time will tell whether they just fall away for 1 year or they end up in Div 2 within a couple of years.

Heard that teams who owe league fees will have until round 1 to clear existing debt or will have salary cap reduced - club x owes $7,000 then there cap is reduced by that amount. A couple of clubs set to be affected

Not a chance in the world the league would be able to administer this. This simply wont happen.

Yes hearing same. Kick in the guts to west. Local player. Past premiership player. 1 pointer. Massive loss even though they won the flag. Diff in salary cap between the 2 leagues is all the difference here.

Incorrect, he was given a job off the tools which was a massive part of his decision which helped offset the match payment.

kick in the guts?

Sounds like the salary cap working exactly as it should be to me.

No reason a b2b flag side should be able to pick up a premier recruit

Just a well informed individual
a lot of crap gets spoken around the traps. And I tell you this only recently has Macleod been able to spend any kinda of money.
they don’t have the money to spend, so someone along the lines is speaking gospel

Losing a major sponsor will hurt them.

there you go my mail was correct
Congratulations! Not as clear cut as a typical walk out, unfortunately as I'm guessing a lot of people on here would want to hear that would be the case.
Frankie has been awesome for the group and unfortunately he wont be able to see out the work he has started. There are more things important in life than footy, and as the Jimmy House decision showed at North, there is a positive step in the right direction in local footy circles with people looking out for themselves, in particular coaches, as they are not invincible despite the position they are in and the responsibility involved with a senior coaching position nowadays..

Ok thanks, lets run with that then, good luck to Frankie and whatever he chooses to do and as you said he has made an impact in his short time. And well done to the club in its handling of the situation.
