Don't discount Macleod just yet....starting to get some mojo. Have WP and Banyule next 2 weeks. Win those and they are back in the hunt
Some Mojo? They've lost 4 of there last 5 games. They would have to win 6 of there last 8 to have a chance. Are you taking the piss?

I suppose if Whittlesea are still a chance to avoid relegation, then Macleod are a chance to make finals.

They might have a couple of winnable games coming up , but even if they win them both to get them to 5 and 7, the test comes straight after with games against all sides in the top 5 ( minus GB ) plus whittlesea. They will fall short by a fair margin.
6-7 wins at best won't be enough

Round 11 tips

Hurstbridge 5th vs Banyule 8th. The bridges locked away another important 4 points last week as they look to participate in their maiden division 1 finals series. Again it was Moschetti leading from the front, he has been one of the recruits of the season and it enabled Hurstbridge to take the 4 points. No changes so a very settled side at the moment. For Banyule, no 4 points but another very competitive day against Bundoora. Yodgee leading the way and they get Carafa, Loton and Raines back this week.
This is a game Hurstbridge must win if they want to play finals, upset alert is on but Bridges at home by 17 points

Macleod 7th vs West Preston 9th Macleod got an upset win last week over Greensborough with Martin and Condello both having strong games. Hurley comes back into the side this week as well. For the roosters, it was a disappointing home loss to Hurstbridge with only Dreher and Ryall flying the flag.
Both sides would be disappointed with how their season currently stand. Macleod at home to get over the line by 17 points

Montmorency 2nd vs Greensborough 4th Traditional rivals clash at Para rd and it should be another tough encounter. The magpies did what was required in a 9 goal win over Whittlesea with Lentini continuing his brilliant season leading the way with Davis in his first game also getting coaches votes. For the Boro, an upset loss at home to Macleod makes this game even more important with Hurstbridge and Nth Heidelberg fighting with Greensborough for those last 2 finals spots. 6 changes unsettles the side and at home Montmorency will be too strong. Mont by 27 points

Heidelberg 1st vs Whittlesea 10th In tough conditions the Tigers rolled on to another win last week. In conditions to suit, Sier and Hunt lead the way. Gilmore was again also in the votes and leads coaches award. Congratulations to Gilmore who plays his 100th game tomorrow and he has been one of the premier ruckman in the competition during his 100 games.
For the Eagles, again it was a struggle, only kicking 2 goals for the game (10 scoring shots) but young gun Watson can hold his head high with more coaches votes. Tough day for the eagles. Heidelberg by 84 points

Bundoora 3rd vs Nth Heidelberg 6th Bulls again with Collins taking maximum votes got a solid win over Banyule last week. Kolar had his best game for the season as well. Shepheard comes back in from injury and he adds height and strength to the Bulls. The doggies would have been disappointed in last weeks result, they probably were a bit unlucky when the rain came as Heidelberg had first use of the strong breeze and then it became a dog. Doggies as always will be up for the fight but the Bulls a bit stronger and deeper across the ground. Bundoora by 18 points

Enjoy the footy

culture destroyed!!
whatever was left of it anyway.
amazing that Bundoora with all their success has not learnt that you need a junior club with plenty of teams , with local players you get local families and plenty of supporters .Heidelberg learnt that they needed strong juniors and look now, locals everywhere. Some will never learn, look after your locals they will hang around .

Shane Harvey to the outer east

Bundoora are one of the most successful clubs in the NFNL… they’ve just come off the back of 3 reserves flags as well. Yes they buy in talent, but that’s what it takes at the top level. If they gave games to these so called “reserves” players they wouldn’t be consistently winning flags.

To say they “haven’t learnt” when unfortunately most of their reserves talent got poached away by clubs without juniors or at much lower levels throwing bulk coin is laughable.

Maybe head down one time, because there is no shortage of support
For Bundoora. One of the biggest clubs in the NFNL.

I've been down numerous times this year and support they once had has dropped away dramatically.

Have a look at the premierships they have won and yes they have bought in a few players. But the majority of the team was players who had been there a long time. Now look at the team this year. It's a team full of players that have been recruited over the last 2-3 years. And a chunk of them over 30, who wont be there next year. If Chopper walks, the club is screwed. He has gone there to do 1 thing and that's win a flag at any cost. He doenst care about what Bundoora looks like in 5 years.

They have never been in a position where they can't find reserves players.
