Can't see what value Woosha is providing to the Dons right now.

He was brilliant to get us through the player suspensions, a calm and experienced head.

But now we're stagnant.

Is it the list? Some may say its bottom 4 quality but I think there's enough talent to be performing better than we are.

I don't mind if we are just genuinely bad but trying our hearts out but I can't see that. The langford/Guelfi incident, Francis kicking in to Hurley's back and Zaka and Mcgrath spoiling each other are symptoms of a club with deep rooted issues.

In the last two years we've had victories over every team bar Rich and WB. Last year we defeated Geelong, Adelaide, North, WCE (away), GWS (away), Port (away). So we can be competitive when we're going well, albeit inconsistent.

Our run of form after the Carlton game last year has definitely and fair to say deservedly given the Bomber fans a sense of expectation of improvement this season. We only lost BJ and there's simply no reason we should regress so badly.

Yes Hooker and Daniher would be handy upgrades on Brown and Ambrose (Baguley needs to get out too), but our losses are structure and effort based.

Now it's only round 2 and we can of course turn it around, but I can't see us beating Melbourne or anyone right now.

If the situation remains dire after ANZAC Day, I don't see how Woosha survives

Woosha has roared into contention, but if Richo is out of contract this year and Saints finish bottom 6 I think it will still be him.

Yeah I've never understood why he earned the opportunity of another rebuild when he never really got the first one right. 'Making top 4 twice' as a side who scraped in from 7/8 before being comfortably defeated in the prelim (they were never a realistic chance in) is not proof you can get it right.

He should be in strife but he won't be as they seem to love taking his shit at North.

How he has become a 10 year coach at 1 club whilst never really being a realistic chance at a flag is amazing.

I probably could understand if he was in Brendon Bolton position of oming into a club that would take 5 years before it has a heart beat but the way it currently is looking Scott will have North in a worse position to when he arrived 10 years later.

A team with Goldstein tapping it to Cunnington & Higgins shouldn't be getting destroyed in the centre clearance stats.

I think a 50/50 record over ten year period is probably the better indicator, north ran hot in both of those finals series but the fact remains he has been average for his tenure at the club

2019 is looking worse than 2016, and that year was 3 seniors, supported by kids and ring ins.
And two of those seniors were Zaka and Baguley

the only caveat is whether this is a transition plan, and the idea is for Rutten to spend 2019 and 2020 getting ready to takeover.
If thats the case, we should have been prepared to bottom out. And i'd question the wisdom in trading a future 1st for Shiel.....which may explain why it took so long to get done.

North's list management and recruiting team need to be more creative than they have been. They cant afford to bottom out but they need to get some higher draft picks either for trading or rejuvenating the list with quality kids.
