We're talking the coach being sacked right? Chris Scott is about the safest coach in the league from that perspective.Chris Scott. Never fun to try to oversee a complete re-build. Many a wise person has incorrectly predicted a Geelong crash, but I think this will finally be the year.
He's been a great servant, but realistically could be 1-5 after a tough start to the season.
Kane McGoodwin is not going to like this suggestion.Could be Nicks if we have a poor season.

Same could be said for most coaches if they have a poor season.Kane McGoodwin is not going to like this suggestion.

One thing for certain, anyone who wants to get under that thin skin knows exactly who to suggest might get the sack.Same could be said for most coaches if they have a poor season.
No one has voted for Nicks yet... so still time to get in like you did last season.![]()
You really seem to he struggling that this is a discussion forum where everyone has a right to their own opinion but others also have a right to offer differing opinions. One thing for certain, anyone who wants to get under that thin skin knows exactly who to suggest might get the sack.

It's latter you keep trying to shutdown...
So your posting is ironic.

Given Freo are banking 1st rounders for next season & have traded out more experience, you sense Longmuir will be given at least a couple of more years to see out this rebuild.I sadly picked my Man Justin Longmuir....
I love Justin Longmuir and hoped he would last 8-10 seasons with some sustained and consistent finals success.
Im gonna make This prediction about Nicks and the Crows.
I saw your teams fixture. I see the crows post a 14 wins and 9 loss record in 2024.
Saying that, I said the exact same thing about Port in 2023 in getting 14 wins.

Would need the wheels to completely fall off for him to be sacked imo.
I'm quietly optimistic that 2023 was the season Freo needed to have. Take a step back, re-juggle the list, then push forward with a relatively young list.
Why is everyone so quiet on Kenny ?. Oh, the fans will devour him, so sacking will not be required ?!!!!.
Port fans Hatred of Ken Hinkley is a bit over the top isnt it?No point discussing Ken. Everyone knows he'll be at Port until the heat death of the universe.

Never seen a bunch of AFL supporters hate a coach for giving his all and good service for 10-12 seasons.
It is interesting comparing Nicks & Longmuir. Both started at the same time and only Longmuir has made and won a final in that time but he's under more heat going off the poll.Same could be said for most coaches if they have a poor season.

Longmuir got a "Sando spike", which increased early expectations. It is interesting comparing Nicks & Longmuir. Both started at the same time and only Longmuir has made and won a final in that time but he's under more heat going off the poll.
Essendon would probably give someone a 5 year deal if they won a final.
Absolutely. Chris will be well and truly given a chance at a rebuild IF it goes that way. Ridiculous to even suggest he’ll be sacked if you guys have a poor year. We're talking the coach being sacked right? Chris Scott is about the safest coach in the league from that perspective.
I guess if we do poorly he could do a Hardwick but there was a smell around Hardwick (marriage break-up, throwing everything at mature aged players, etc) that suggested he was there for a good time not a long time. Nothing like that from Scott.
Is Mitchell safe in all circumstances or if Hawthorn regresses could he come under pressure?
Safe, you don’t get sign off to do a trade fire sale rebuild and get sacked 18 months later. Is Mitchell safe in all circumstances or if Hawthorn regresses could he come under pressure?
