They clearly said this was the stragedy with this version of ipod and they are marketing it to countries like Australia who won't get the i-phone for a while..so in the meantime you obsessive compulsive apple fanboi and consumers can make apple more rich.

just wait for at least a 3rd gen of this ipod or a 2nd gen i-phone. I learnt my lesson with apple.

Not really, Apple want you to start watching movies and television shows on the iPod, which requires a lot more storage space.

That would be the logical thing to do but i have been without a music player for 8 months now and i am getting sick of it. this is the best available and i thinks its hot!

The back is. it is the same old shiny chrome that has been on every other iPod.

The screen is actually quite the opposite. it is made from glass so is resistant from scratching unlike the normal iPods which have the acrylic screens

Only downfall but the cleaning thing they give you, one wipe and it is clean.

The iPhone will keep costing you, but it could be worth it, i've played around with one and it's an amazing little phone!

yeah apple have already released patches for the safari browser

new nokia 8gb models out soon keep an eye out

If free public wifi was prevelant as it was in the USA then the touch would be great, but we are in the stone age internet-wise and this is one major aspect of the Touch we can't take advantage of. Maybe i could be sitting infront of the TV with betfair on watching the sport instead of the laptop, and I had a play around with one and it is very slick and tempting, but hopefully the iphone will be the early part of next year, this really seems like half an iphone.

the ipod touch's are now jailbroken, so you can upload all these different applications aswell as the ones that are on the iphone, apart from the phone of course.

there strong little devices, i dropped mine on the road this arvo then stood on it and all to show for was a few scratches on the metal back, they were quite deep but the screen is unscratchable i tell you

Looks cool and everything but 16 gig is a bit too little for a video player these days. I wouldn't even be able to fit all my music onto it.

They had to go with flash memory for storage otherwise the battery life would be much shorter. I've got more than 16gb, but I've managed to organise playlists to manage which music I want to take with me.
