The Adelade Football Club has decided that they will not be participating in any more trades and will be announcing there delistings.

We are sad to see go 3 players to retirement 2 have played for long periods of time and have established themselves as champions of the club and the other had his career cruely ended in the preliminary final loss to West Coast when he suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament which requires a full knee reconstruction and he has decided instead of trying to come back at age 31 he would retire now at age 29.

Ben Hart
Matthew Clarke
Rhett Biglands

Now onto the actual delistings we wish these guys the best in their future edeavours

John Hinge(had 2 years on the list and still wasnt making a mark at SANFL level)
Chad Gibson(Had unlimited potential but unfortunately over the past 2 years he has had constant injuries and never really got on the park)
Alan Obst(This might seem harsh on the young lad but he really didnt do alot this year to suggest he has the potential to make the AFL so we have decided to let him go now)
Brad Sugars(Was on the rookie list isnt anymore)
Tom Redden(This is sad for the club we thought Tom had great potential but his poor attitude saw to it that he had no future at our club)
Sam Elliott(Was on the rookie list isnt anymore)
Adrian Bonnadio(Was on the rookie list isnt anymore)

The Adelaide Football Club has decided to announce its best 22 Pre Draft

BEST 22

B: Bassett -- Rutten -- Torney
HB: Mcleod -- Stevens -- Johncock
C: Mattner -- Shirley -- Reilly
HF: Burton -- Bock -- Waters
F: Ricciuto -- Schultz -- Jones
R: Hudson -- Goodwin -- Edwards
I: Meesen -- Doughty -- Van Berlo -- Butler
E: Maric -- Harding -- Bevan
Others: Lecras, Sansbury, Grundy, Massie, Griffen, Mcgregor, Pfeiffer, Douglas, Hentschel

It is a very new look Adelaide Crows lineup with 4 new players in the best 22.

The breakdown is this the backline could not really afford to be touched it was the best in the league and all players have retained there spots.

The midfield sees some minor re-tooling with Ben Hudson coming back from his knee reconstruction to take over the number 1 ruck position from Matthew Clarke(retirment) and Rhett Biglands(retirment) his backup will come from Youngsters John Meesen and Ivan Maric. Robert Shirley maintains his number 1 taggers role, holding off Nathan Van Berlo for now, Brent Reilly and Marty Mattner are the crows 2 first choice wingmen. With Simon Goodwin and Tyson Edwards helping Robert Shirley get the ball out the centre square.

The Forward line has seen major re-tooling with the Crows shipping out Scott Welsh(West Coast), Scott Thompson(West Coast), Matthew Bode(West Coast), Ian Perrie(West Coast) and Jason Porplyzia(Richmond). Taking their spots are strong marking key position player Jay Schultz who will play full forward alongside him will be Captain Mark Ricciuto and new recruit Corey Jones. Across half forward Nathan Bock has retained the ever important centre half forward position after playing well towards the end of last year, on his flanks will be the mercurial Brett Burton and young hardman Beau Waters.

The rest of the squad really demonstrates the Crows depth with Michael Doughty, Nathan Van Berlo, Sam Butler on the bench and new recruits Leigh Harding and Paul Bevan on the emergencies list. The left overs are not at all bad either they include new recruits Mark Le Cras, Heath Grundy, Eddie Sansbury and also players the calibre of Ken Mcgregor and Kris Massie, and also the youngsters Richard Douglas, Jonathan Griffen, Darren Pfeiffer, and the injured Trent Hentschel who will miss ALL of this season and most of next season recovering from his devastating injury sustained in round 20.

This is the squad that will try to lead the Adelaide Football CLub to a Premiership and of course there will be a few good youngsters added to this squad in the draft which Adelaide hold Picks 14, 45, 48, 51, 63, 65/66 and 74.

Collingwood want trades. Tarrant is my main tradebait but players on the fringe such as Rowe, J and C Cloke, Licuria, Holland, Lonie, Davies etc. No one is safe bar Clement, Buckley, Didak, Fraser and then Swan, Johnson, Heath Shaw are pretty untouchable.

Morrison and Caracella retire and Hall, Walker are delisted, more to come.
