To be able to go to our club rooms on game day for beers/meals ya know a little bit of engagement..
Like football clubs are meant to be.

It's going to be a great training facility but it really could've been a massive statement as the big club in town to have direct access from the city to a decked out facility hosting all sorts of things and really put the club on the map to all.

Not even a single thought for how many thousands of members..Wow.
There are very few AFL clubs that have that on game day.

You want that go to an Ammo or SANFL.

I do think there should be a social club type bar, especially if AFLW games are played there.

Do we really need a Bistro open 7 days a week? If financially viable could buy/lease the West Thebby Hotel I guess.

I do support the lower levels 👍

Is that from Olsen/club?

If so

Any issues I have with Thebby would be gone.

I'm listening to the interview now on SEN

Kym Dillion asked, "So what happens with the SANFL, will there be a substantial financial settlement with the SANFL?", Olsen said, "yes there will be financial compensation offered to the SANFL"

I will wait and see just how much additional money we're now forking out to these clowns.

It's great that they're gone, but it's still the question as to how much it will cost to get rid of them?

5 million? 10 million? 20 million?

We will never know that so you will be disgruntled for a long time.

Remember the SANFL did have the lease, they didn't have to let it go.

Why the outcry for the Crows to replicate it then.

The lower levels need it more and you make more of a difference.

Mate the Crows could've created a high end facility that people flocked to creating a true club culture.

THE TEAM FOR ALL SOUTH AUSTRALIANS ?

except we don't want you at our club.. oh no sorry please come for a coffee 🤪
People are happy with the training facility and that's great but it's not creating a club culture that in the long run will be far more powerful than any amount of ovals or office buildings.

Yeah I know, but heck me I am sick of giving those clowns money constantly.

My issue will be if it ends up something as ridiculous like 1 million dollars a year for 10 years. Our competitive advantage keeps being pissed down the toilet by the SANDFULL inventing new ways to screw money out of us for nothing.

I'm amazed. Adelaide has announced one of the most world class performance training and AFLW game day facilities and everyone is angry of a what was not said about a liquor licence. How pathetic...honestly. If the facilities give us the best chance of winning premierships who gives a **** about a liquor licence. Yes, its a legitimate question about restaurant / bar facilities, but is it worth getting angry about? no.

Overall the concept designs are brilliant and I can't wait. The club has thought through this really well. We should be positive rather than finding something to complain about. No wonder the club took the strategy of staying silent. The rhetoric on 5AA in half an hour from angry crows fans had to be the most pathetic radio I've heard and it was embarrassing.

I don't mind the SANFL being there.

As long as they don't share revenues, and pay us to use facilities we build

Any joint venture between us and the SNAFFLE would be concerning.

Right now they only use it for umpire training? Aren't there offices at Adelaide Oval?

Actually, umpire training is in the South Parklands (The school grounds for Pulteney grammar I believe).
And this year the Adelaide Football League umpires moved from there to the East Parklands (CBC school grounds)

People dont even flock to alberton. don't believe the hype. I caught the outer harbor train after port games at AO and not once did the train even have anymore than a half a dozen people disembark at Cheltenham (closest station to Alberton for those playing at home). The reality is, no one is going to the ground after a game because its away from the city. The club needs to be realistic. No point building this full members bar if the members are all hitting the pubs and hotels around AO after games. I also call bullshit to people going to watch training. The only reason Port has a club restaurant is because all Sanfl clubs had a restaurant/function after game presentation area. All I am saying, is don't believe the hype.

Typical SA response really...could be something great, but find fault immediately for something that hasnt been worked out yet.

We will never know.

It will be the PV of the lease they hold at Thebby and some extra to assist them to move

Given that lease is with a Council and only for a few times a week for umpire training. I doubt it will be too much. Half mill tops, that's generous too.

Their offices aren't there.

My concern was they would be part of our renovation and benefit with no cost to them.
