Live excerpt from home team commentary: It's finally happening! I couldn’t be happier right now and The Demons fans at the snow dome have thrown their cheeseboards high in the air, a few head injuries have been sustained but most are still giddy in anticipation as their Mt. Buller team's blistering last quarter has resulted in 6 goals to 1 to have the Dees up with only a few moments to go and playing the best Qooty they have seen all season. It's BIG TIME. Just half an hour ago the groans amongst the faithful could be heard loud and clear as the Roys were well up after another hapless display from the Delons in what has been a grim and depressing season of lows. But now? Now there is hope, the first win since the first week of the season is tantalisingly close to reality and TheGoatBaron scores...TheGoatBaron scored? The sirens gone...the sirens gone? I see it but I don’t believe it


Demon of the Week

For having his first ever actually good individual game this season and winning Mobbs avatar contest, I award this prestigious award to myself.

MATCH STATS

Unlike most games this season, even our closer ones in the past, there were some absolute stand out sim performances throughout the team last week.

I’ll start with the 11 tackle, 22 disposal, 2 goal and 116 DT performance of yours truly. Wosh was imperious in the ruck with 96 DT points and 23 touches whilst Proper Gander also had a fantastic game DreamTeam wise with her team high 7 marks. cats2rise led the disposal count with 28. Gralin led all Delons for goals with four big ones from an unlikely position dethroning Yakk for the first time ever, although the fishing extraordinaire still handily beat his FB in head to head rating with a 105 rating.

sante was strong out of defence with 55 DT points, 6 marks and a 58 H2H rating. Bluelegs supplied a handy two goals to go with an impressive 19 touches. Jatz was also among the better DT performers to go with 3 tackles and 3 frees for, highlighting a commitment to getting stuck in. Kurve and jmoo wan rounded out the top ten DT getters for the week.

POSTING STATS

In an enjoyable week there were some huge numbers and a return to the early season heights with Wosh once again on top with 239 posts for the week! Yakker took the silver medal this week with 153 and Gralin the bronze, also breaking the triple digit figure. moginie once again raised his bat, a remarkable feat he has achieved every week this season and close behind him were Headless and the biggest signing of the season for any club in the league nahnah who both managed 48 spectacular posts. Personally speaking, having nahnah join the team is one of the best things to happen since the invention of white bread and I look forward to seeing him be up and about with the Dee’s for a long time to come. Speaking of up and about DemonJim registered his best posting output of the season with 45 big ones in a commanding performance from the wily veteran.

The good times continued with big numbers from All Aust and DERO with 40 and 32 apiece. cooney led the cool 20’s club with 27 and was joined by myself.

cats2rise managed a very respectable 18 even with a new little gremlin running amok and Jatz finished the double digit posters with an even 10.

20 posters overall and 15 above five for the week is once again a mighty effort.

The Foundation Cup is on this week and I can’t think of a better time to threaten permanent light mode for every bigfooty user unless we get our deserved win against the Wonders
