Do you think footy fans in WA will jump on the new NRL team if the Eagles and Dockers keep serving up mediocre to poor performances?
If so how much will it affect the valuation of the Eagles and Dockers?

Next year it's quite likely it'll be the third consecutive season with no WA team featuring in the finals.
Definitely not

Plenty of people for 3 clubs, I think the Dockers will likely make finals both the WA clubs have nothing too worry about financially.

A bit more context but not a lot. Seems a very flawed assessment though.

I honestly can't see how Port are just slightly less than West Coast, who are the biggest club in the land, and above Sydney who are the darlings of Australia's most important city.

Probably where Kochie does his best work. Just keep him away from the footy department and governance of our club.

Lol no it won't, you all look at it back to front - they get the level of support they do despite missing finals and outside the Melbourne cauldron without an MCG.

Wait and see what happens when they start winning, i.e. Freo when they made the Grand Final selling out direct flight from Perth to Melbourne and then every connecting flight from Perth to Melbourne - that fervour is the future if they ever do win.

Verses some other 'brands' where a bad season has the AFL pour in priority picks, assistance, funding, coaching appointments, endorsement to play home games interstate etc. etc.

Serious underrating of the West coast brand it’s a corporate behemoth and brand in WA. Over 100 million in cash and assets, highest paying membership base and huge merch sales. Only Collingwood rivals us in that regard

West Coast for all their wealth are a location based brand. There’s not that many WC members and supporters based outside of WA. Stick somebody wearing a WC scarf in an ad for car insurance and that person is identifiably West Australian.

Whilst Collingwood is a Victorian club, it has a much wider profile nationally. And that national profile is worth a premium to sponsors who are seeking national exposure. And it’s not just about liking the brand, it’s also about being able to recognise the brand and having strong feelings about the brand (good or bad)

The list makes reasonable sense when considering those factors - but having Geelong above West Coast doesn’t seem right to me. Or Port above Adelaide. The rankings seem too heavily influenced by on-field performance.

Laura Kane came up with them.

I’d agree with that Collingwood are defitnely more national WCE has some support in Victoria but are generally western Australian. In Wa the big teams outside of wce and freo are north (Wa connection cable, krakuer bros ect) ESs and Carlton
