Liking what Matt Crouch is producing, will very much end up in the Scott Thompson/Matt Priddis mould of genuine midfield workhorse, won't ever quite be a midfield superstar, but will just do all the heavy lifting, inside contested work for more than a decade, reliably wracking up 25+ hard, contested touches a game that allow his teammates to shine. Interesting that he's still not quite getting the game time of others, suggests his fitness is sill a little way off which wouldn't surprise, just means there's still considerable room for movement.
Just wish we could get his brother out there, whilst his brother isn't superfamily he's always on his toes and everything he does is at speed, thanks to how well he reads the play, so he just looks so much quicker.

I see crouch as a Sam Mitchell rather than Matt priddis.

Nah he isn't anywhere near as sure on both sides like Mitchell is and always has been.
Priddis has won a Brownlow and isn't a sniper, ill take that.

He's got more pace and is a better kick than priddis. The tackle on boak in the last quarter when he was breaking just reminded me of Mitchell.

Think his lesser game time numbers have a lot to do with the role he is capable of playing.
He probably spends almost 100% of his on ground time on the ball as he isn't the type to rest row, back or even on a wing
So his changes would be slightly longer on the ground as when he is on he needs to play that most demanding role.

Believe me if he's ever "rested" up forward the kid is very capable of impacting the scoreboard big time, he has Eddie Betts type goal sense around goals, it was on display regularly for anyone that witnessed his junior career.

Bickley broke his foot 3 times and played 272 games so fingers crossed we can get 200 out of Brad.
He trained flat out for 6 months this preseason so its not like his feet cant handle the workload. Need to make he is more than 100% next time we roll him out - which hopefully is sub for our home final

A full season of Crouch 1 & 2, Danger, Sloane, with CEY, Douggie, Thommo (one more good year). That would be nice.
Ah well just rumours, be good if wrong and he never has a foot injury again.

I have no idea of the extent of his current injury, but it's concerning that he's received several long-term injuries already in his very short career.
Really hope he can get past it so we can see the best of him!

Love that he has some mongrel in him. Getting in the oppositions face yesterday. Great to see.
Regardless of Brad's foot, he should be signed ASAP.
He is a gun, Crouch n Grigg are both needing contracts and will be highly rated at other clubs
