I can't see Di Maria leaving unless he requests it tbh, at his best he's easily the best player in this team and there's no way we'd turn our back on him so soon IMO.

He's come out and stated that he wants to stay here for a "long time" and vows to improve on this season.

LVG won't kick him out this early, they'd be stupid too, therefore he's staying IMO.

The tabloids seem to be running a bit that LvG was talking about RvP and Di Maria about those that will leave. I agree we shouldn't be offloading him as it can't be surprising that a light winger didn't have a great season in the tough EPL. He'll be better in the long run.

It would have to be a stupid offer really to get us to sell.

So we've inquired about Sterling.

Don't think he'll be worth the fee and wages, but the meltdown from Liverpool fans would be worth it.

I'd take that with the smallest pinch of salt.

Pereira is with the Brazil U20 squad, bit of a shame because he prob would have started.

Di Marai through the middle then with Mata out wide again then I'd say. He played some of his best football in behind Benzema.

I'd go with:

De Gea
McNair - Jones - Smalling - Blind
Carrick - Herrera
Januzaj - Mata - Di Maria
Wilson

A report in Argentina says that we have an agreement in place for Otamendi.
Perhaps with news that Hummels is likely going to stay at Dortmund in recent days, Otamendi might be our 2nd choice this summer.
The general consensus on the Caf is that he is quicker than Hummels, about as good at defending but an inferior passer.
Looking at him, he looks like a fiery type, and that's something we've missed since Rio/Vidic

He is good.

Still hoping Laporte comes as well.

I think Otamendi is better suited to the PL than Hummels who's lack of speed could be exposed. Otamendi has also been the best La Liga defender this season while Hummels has struggled.

The club made an enquiry full knowing pool would say 'f off'. Troll much :p

Some heavy Bastian Schweinsteiger links today

young over ADM is stupid

LVG out thinking him self

By benching a horribly out of form player for one in much better form?

ADM is a far, far superior player to Ashley Young but Young was a key player in our late season run and us finishing fourth may not have happened without him. He was in much better form than Di Maria and well and truly earned the right to start. Call me crazy but I say a manager making selections based on form rather than reputation isn't necessarily 'out thinking' one's self, I'd be more inclined to say it's one of the most basic yet essential components to a mangers job.

Do you ever think before you post?
