It is probably time, now that the AFL has decided it is the arbiter of what is acceptable humour, for all players and umpires to give up on mad monday type events. As a measure of their displeasure, they could probably withdraw from official events like the Brownlow circus too. In view of the tight control over what they can and cannot say, they should restrict their responses to questions to monosyllables when the AFL controlled "journalists" ask them any questions.

Maybe. Grown men could also stop dressing up like they're going to a 7 year old's birthday party and just have a few drinks with their mates to celebrate the end of their season. Preferably without setting anyone on fire
