I've been working my way through LU over the last couple of months, after discovering a pretty good free source online.

Did anyone persist all the way through season 4, then go through MLW's attempt to reprise its characters and stories? Is the MLW stuff worth watching?

Got through all four seasons. Didn't know about the MLW stuff though.
