Anthony Mcdonald-Tipungwuti hasn't come to fruition for the Hoppers. Was well and truly in the works but not to be. Not sure how he fits in that side anyway.

Semmel back to Stanhope after "The Recruit" failed to reboot the series due to Vossy coaching Carlton now. Big get for them if true - wonder the pricetag :moneybag:

How're the new Violet Town recruits going ?

Any other big recruits on the scene anywhere ?

Bring a shining thirds kid up, a 2s player thats shown promise, or if you have depth, another gun into your weaponry.
If your struggling for numbers that's unfortunate, that 4th person will more than likely be a kid that's played 3rds and 2nds and is now just the old fashion "bench warmer". Your team has done it in previous years with 3 on the bench, that 4th now doesnt come into rotation, stiff!

@“The Roar is Back” can you explain how the sub rule works in the Murray and Picola leagues as IMO it is a great way to give senior exposure to underage players and gives the leagues that 22nd player.

Do you believe the way it now operates in both leagues needs any tweaking?

From my understanding in MFL the sub has to have played thirds previously that day - is this a rule in your league as well? If so are exemptions made for clubs without thirds (and those playing against clubs without thirds?)

Is the a minimum age limit for the sub? Do you know if the age spread limit/ restriction brought in by AFL Vic last year which made the KDL have to change from u14s to u15s effects juniors playing seniors or reserves?

Yes I heard Semmel back aswell. Still dominate at this level???

Also heard vt have lost there recruits due to lack of numbers at training, anyone confirm this?

The junior sub was firstly commenced in the picola league . Requirement has always been and remains that the player must be eligible to play u17’s.
The rule has been tweaked a little in picola to allow the player to become an active player after half time without the need for another to be subbed out .
Unsure of rules within Murray who iirc started with it a year or two after the picola league .

Semmell played SFL the best part of last 2 years and whilst serviceable he didn’t set the world on fire. Getting on with age too!

VT's game got changed to moyhu last minute due to the CFA/DEECA occupying the VT oval, so had a few pull out but had a good hit out with around 8 of the potential Round 1 side missing. Had a lot more of the football but weren't as efficient as Moyhu were going forward. No official scores kept but say probably won by a few goals in the end
