Absolutely ridiculous if you're trying to compare a fringe sports issue with reproductive rights.
Abortion affects 11 women in 1000 so it is quite a rare occurance.

Why not put more energy protecting women from domestic abuse that is 1 in 4.

Whatever is fashionable and gives you more street cred ey..

Your algorithm didn’t give you this? Tim Pool spoke about this a few times already. Heck even Rogan spoke about it with one of his recent guests.

You really gotta stop getting your news from Tim Pool, Joe Rogan and random social media posts. I mean jesus christ :tearsofjoy:

Former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others have spread inaccurate information that suggests a Defense Department policy revision in late September was timed to interfere with the Nov. 5 presidential election.
...
"The policies concerning the use of force by DOD addressed in DoDD 5240.01 are not new, and do not authorize the DOD to use lethal force against U.S. citizens or people located inside the United States, contrary to rumors and rhetoric circulating on social media," Gough said in a statement.

From those bleeding heart lefties at Fox News no less

60 votes were needed to proceed.

Democrats: 49 - 6

Republicans: 1 - 37

You put blame solely on those 6 Democrats (11% of the Democrats that voted); but not any of the 37 Republicans (97% of the Republicans that voted).

Weird!
WhY wOulD dEmOcRatS dO ThIs???

Perfect encapsulation of Stokey's dishonesty.

I am very happy to support your cause about tackling violence against women. Do you have a link to your thread?

I totally agree with you that FDV is a scourge.
Again, not sure what that has to do with abortion or women’s sports.

You may want to understand what a yearly rate is before you pretend to be the informed one in the room.

About 1 in 4 girls/women in the US will have an abortion (within their reproductive years obviously).

Abortion is something that can already be provided, automatic protection against domestic abuse isn't as straightforward. But yes it is an issue, it's not an either or.

Assuming your figure is correct, why then make such a big issue out of it and restrict it?

As usual you deflect but, anyway, on the topic of domestic abuse that you say you are so concerned about, I would love to see where the candidate you support wants to do something about domestic violence. Please post links to Trump’s policies and comments?
For sure Vance does not want to protect women as he thinks they should stay in abusive marriages..

On the other hand, here is the statement Harris put out. Have a read. I dare you.
If you are so concerned about it being ignored then I am sure you will give her some credit?

But as you are a disingenuous poster I doubt you will.

Yeah, you can spin numbers any way you like.

If you want to take away abortion rights, you can say it’s “11 in 1000 women” (little numbers!) when that is the rate for all women and per year.

If you want to defend your position, you note that actually it’s around 700,000-1,000,000 (estimates vary due to how stats are taken) per year, which are bigger numbers.

There are around 3m live births and near 1m abortions per year. So it’s absolutely relevant and mainstream.

Abortion also affects all people. If your partner needed an abortion and couldn’t get one, we are supposed to believe you wouldn’t care?

I’m just waiting for the specific argument there. Very happy to rebut points.

I just don’t think he/she/they have any coherent argument.

Further, I don’t think he/she/they give a s—t about women’s sports, and this is just nasty, disingenuous rhetoric, using women athletes as a shield for regressive views.

Hasan is a legend and responded so well under the circumstances.
Perhaps not his first time, but I simply
Don’t know what I would say in that situation. Kudos to him.

Hasan is calling people Nazis. He got back everything he deserved. Classic case of someone who dishes it out but then cries like a baby when it comes back the other way

He's calling out people accurately for using Hitler's rhetoric, for admiring Hitler etc, and having policy or behaviour reminiscent of the rise of Nazi Germany or other fascist regimes.

As far as I'm aware, he's not alluded to or joked about any Republicans, Trump included, being killed for it.
