Rookie error.... literally.murray deserved to get turned there. no idea what he was thinking
If he waited 2 laps......Thought Fullwood chucked wets on ???
If thats how they play it from now on im all for it, I mean Feeney punted Murray (understandable IMO) and copped nothing for it.Good weekend of racing.
I didn't really agree with the Waters incident on the Saturday night. It made for an epic finish though!
Yeah valid point, as long as it's consistent, that's the main thing. If thats how they play it from now on im all for it, I mean Feeney punted Murray (understandable IMO) and copped nothing for it.
So maybe it is the new normal
Not only did Feeney not cop anything for it, but the race stewards decided it was Murray's fault and gave him a 15 second penalty for it. Presumably it was because he was being lapped and shown blue flags, and failed to get out of the way, which created the incident. If thats how they play it from now on im all for it, I mean Feeney punted Murray (understandable IMO) and copped nothing for it.

It really is his fault essentially. But it's not a great look either haha. Not only did Feeney not cop anything for it, but the race stewards decided it was Murray's fault and gave him a 15 second penalty for it. Cooper struggled a bit more than I thought he mightIt really is his fault essentially. But it's not a great look either haha.
I wasn’t sure if it was for position or not, if being lapped and blue flags out it’s on Murray for sure. Not only did Feeney not cop anything for it, but the race stewards decided it was Murray's fault and gave him a 15 second penalty for it. Apparently it was for position, so he wouldn't have been shown blue flags. He hadn't done his 2nd pit stop, so was effectively 3/4 of a lap down on the leaders - even though he was on the same stretch of bitumen.I wasn’t sure if it was for position or not, if being lapped and blue flags out it’s on Murray for sure.
That’s what I thought, he hadn’t pitted so was for position. In that case I’m surprised the penalty wasn’t the other way. V8 sleuth does a pod with Graig Baird after each round, will see what he says.Apparently it was for position, so he wouldn't have been shown blue flags. It's discussed in this article, which lays all of the blame on Murray:That’s what I thought, he hadn’t pitted so was for position. In that case I’m surprised the penalty wasn’t the other way. V8 sleuth does a pod with Graig Baird after each round, will see what he says.
If they didnt think Feeney hit him as a square up theyre kidding themselvesIt's discussed in this article, which lays all of the blame on Murray:

Basically they're saying that Murray drove Feeney off the road, and came off 2nd best after the subsequent contact.
Presumably the penalty was awarded after looking at the steering traces (amongst other data) from both cars.If they didnt think Feeney hit him as a square up theyre kidding themselves
He might have been far enough up.... might have.Presumably the penalty was awarded after looking at the steering traces (amongst other data) from both cars.
Its cant be too sophisticated or most people who follow the sport wont understand it.Have lost a fair bit of interest in supercars, but watched some of NASCAR at COTA this morning and it might be just me but they seem so unprofessional compared to supercars.
The driving position looks awkward as hell, multiple wheel nuts, the timing totem pole is updated by a carrier pigeon, the cars seem to be off the track half the time cutting corners (all four wheels over the ripple strips) the cars look more “plasticy”

Might have been confused with ARCA series that I watched some of at Daytona, it appears they’ve gone to a single central nut now.Multiple wheel nuts?
The timing pole is the dumb international feed, only updates every lap which is useless. I watch the US feed and it updates every few seconds.
