Sure. There was a lot of merriment, and the reported screaming could've come from anywhere.

But what if it was Patsy the neighbour heard?
What if?
For reasons that make no sense to me, some people like to inject themselves into things that don't involve them & sometimes they inject themselves because they do (involve them).
What if there was no scream?
I hope the neighbour was thoroughly looked into

But didnt obey the orders to talk to no one, even stray dogs.
Dirty Harry quote, "If you talk to anyone, I don't care if it's a Pekingese pissing against a lampost, the girls dies"

I'm not sure most people in a similar situation would just say nothing & wait to be contacted by kidnappers.
Surely a lot of people would believe the police are there to help & if so they'd call them.

If the neighbour honestly believes they heard screaming from the Ramsey's house then they've done the right thing in reporting what they believe they heard.

It could confirm or even change the timeline as it's believed.

Of course it's nigh impossible to confirm what they heard, IF they heard it, and where it originated from.

Personally, I wouldn't just limit the crime scene to the Ramsey home!

With the DNA transfer to the underwear, it could have happened at any number of locations.

It could be an innocent transfer from a toilet, either public or private residence. She may have just used their friend's toilet.
I am suggesting the DNA found, may be irrelevant to convicting anyone. At the time of the Murder, they should have sent a team to all of the places she visited during the 24hrs leading up to the murder. Taking swabs from the people attending these other gatherings. Also swabbing items, she was in contact with.

There is a slim possibility she was assaulted at one these gatherings and the offender follower her back to silence her. I would be reinterviewing the occupants to see if she was isolated at any stage. By that I mean, out of the parent's direct supervision or away from other kids.

Police need to establish her true movements leading up to the Murder. Like when she dressed and put on these clothes.
As we see with the mom. she was found to be wearing the same clothes as the previous day. Which is highly unusual given their status.

IIRC, weren't there a few other unsolved cases around Boulder at the time that people thought might be connected to this case, such as an attempted break-in at one house and an intruder caught in the bedroom of a teenage girl at another house, who fled when confronted by her parents?

Observations and their own opinion from a Bolder police officer. A person who that sat with them prior to the discovery of the body.
Who knows what a well-off family do behind closed doors.
Keep in mind, they were to fly to Atlanta that afternoon. In their own plane.

Having always thought that plane was owned privately by the Ramseys, I recently found out that it wasn't. They chartered apparently.

Source, three and a half hours of it.

Was a company plane perhaps? I think charter flights are less uncommon in the US as well compared to here.
John Ramsey owned two private jets. One of which he leased out to a charter company run by Mike archeleta, who was going to be the pilot for the holiday.

Unsure if the plane that he owned and chartered out was the same one that they were leaving on.

Not sure if that is accurate. Access Graphics was sold to Lockheed Martin in 1991, JR was the President and CEO. After the body of JonBenet was found the family flew to Atlanta. " The jet actually belonged to Lockheed-Martin, the company that had previously purchased Access Graphics, John Ramsey's company. He did not pilot it. The company, hearing of their loss, had offered the services of one of their jets."

It seems likely that Mike Archuleta who was taking them to Charlevvoix was either running a charter or worked for Lockheed-Martin, as I'm sure if Ramsey actually owned a jet, he would not have been offered/used a different aircraft to fly to Atlanta.

I’ll stand corrected, unsure actually what type of aircraft’s they were so I shouldn’t refer to them as jets but he did own 2 planes one that he chartered out to make money back.

Information is in his police file interview from 1998

Again, not sure John actually owned any plane/jet. From the link you provided "I had an airplane at the time that was on charter through a charter company run by Mike Archuleta, who is also a friend; became a friend." To me it sounds as if they chartered an aircraft to fly them to Charlevoix.

2 JOHN RAMSEY: I owned it and leased it to

3 Mountain Aviation Charter to kind of make it pay

4 for itself.

5 MIKE KANE: Like a lease?

6 JOHN RAMSEY: Right.

7 MIKE KANE: And was that a King Air?

8 JOHN RAMSEY: A King Air; C90 King Air.

9 MIKE KANE: And that's a twin-engine turbo?

10 JOHN RAMSEY: Right.

11 MIKE: How many seats?

12 JOHN RAMSEY: It will seat,

13 uncomfortably, counting the pilot and six

14 comfortably.

15 MIKE KANE: And were there any other

16 planes that you owned at that time?

17 JOHN RAMSEY: I owned a Bonanza. I still do,

18 which is a small single engine.
