I'm reasonably sure that he has a year guaranteed at Essendon if he wants it?Almost zero chance Stringer plays another game for Essendon.
Even if that means he has to accept a 1 year deal elsewhere.
Doesn't mean he'll get a game thoughI'm reasonably sure that he has a year guaranteed at Essendon if he wants it?
If he's at Essendon next year he's getting a game. He just wont be getting a second yearDoesn't mean he'll get a game though
He needs to leave, even on a 1 year deal. The next club might extend him, Bombers won't entertain it by the looks

I suspect that the forward line is too crap to leave him in the VFL if available. Would be ballsy to banish him to Siberia.Doesn't mean he'll get a game though

Yes, but there is not way he stays now.
I reckon we grab him and ShielWhy not? There have been far greater burned bridges than this.
I reckon we grab him and Shiel
I reckon they’ve got a couple of years of good footy in the right teamShiel will be a great get if he can stay healthy

Whenever the words "if he can get healthy" are added, the goose is well & truly cooked. Time to move onShiel will be a great get if he can stay healthy

Amazes me how often eternally injured players get one over clubs in all sports then to exactly no ones surprise get injured again...

He does. Matt Rosa said yesterday he's contracted for next year same with Shiel and LaverdeI'm reasonably sure that he has a year guaranteed at Essendon if he wants it?

The eternally injured always show the odd glimpse. It's best to not fall for itHe finished off the year healthy and playing solid footy.
The major reason why almost nobody is showing interest in Jake Stringer has very little to do with his health. The eternally injured always show the odd glimpse. It's best to not fall for it
There's still people out there who believe Ben Simmons "just needs to get fit"
I mean anyone who constantly gets the "if he gets fit" caveat tbh. They only get that when they're always injured so just move onThe major reason why almost nobody is showing interest in Jake Stringer has very little to do with his health.
Certainly, being more professional would help him on this front too, but I suspect it's symptom rather than cause.
Edit: oh, do you mean Dylan Shiel?
It's attitude. On Stringer, if it isn't fitness as you say and it isn't form given he kicked 40+, what else is it
It's attitude.
The guy was pushed out of the Dogs for being a bit of a nasty pastie, particularly to Tom Boyd, and keeps on showing up fat at the start of the year and failing to fulfil his talent. He's seemingly outworn his welcome at a second club now, and has gone around telling everyone he's played his last game there (apparently).
The underworld connections with Nick Hind don't help, either.
For saying it isn't form - there's a whole lot of all-duck-or-no-dinner about Jakey. Not that this isn't unexpected in a mid-table side, but this year there's been a bit of a sense that he's filled his boots against weaker sides, only to go missing the following week.
