The troubles happen when you have leadership that uses religion to enforce their will (Hamas and Iran as current examples and Christianity in the past) and culture/circumstances eg. The Palestinians who are fundamentally good people but are poor, badly educated and the actions of Hamas cause a spiral of hatred (blame Israel for blocking aid but don't let it be know it is because they were hiding weapons in aid)

Even when a response is justified (and nobody can argue it isn't justified) the onus is on Israel to do everything possible that innocent bystanders are warned and steps are taken to minimise casualties and / or collateral damage.

The other issue is Hamas have been known to order civilians to ignore warnings.

Lebanon is a good example. Used to be a Christian country, with Beirut know as the Paris of the east.

Now I'm not saying they've historically a bad people but right now, it's pretty difficult to feel any sympathy for them whatsoever when you see videos of them online parading the naked & broken bodies of young women on pickup trucks, abducting women and children, cheering on senseless violence, etc.

These aren't thing 'good' people do.

There's obviously good people in Palestine but ask yourself this:

If Palestine were to fully disarm, would Israel invade?

Absolutely, the education is the biggest problem, because it's all pushed by Hamas, who are a criminal/terrorist organisation who simply use the plight of Palestine to raise money for their rich Qatari lifestyle. They don't care about the people of Palestine at all.

I'm also not absolving Israel of any guilt here either. They've been complicit in fostering the build up of hatred toward them with their aggressive building of settlements and displacing the Palestinian population. You reap what you sow, after all, however Hamas isn't doing Palestine any favours, they just make everything worse.
