of course they do. Because gender dis-morphia cant possibly be a sign of a poor mental state. look, studies have shown 90% of trans kids stay transitioned 5 years on. But there are many factors as to why a kid may stay that way. Could be that they've changed schools and their friends dont know they are of a different sex. Its really too early to know what the true affects are of this period as we are only 4 years into it and a lot of the trans ids who are transitioning now are only in the early stages of their decisions.
But early indications are 7% of kids transition back based on a study i read. Which to me is a high enough number to suggest perhaps there should be more of a psychological focus first.

So we have to ask ourselves, would it be the worst thing in the world to ask kids who identify as having gender dis-morphia under go psychological treatment for a period of time to determine their true struggles and any surgeries and drugs are held off until 16. The risk is way to great to place life decisions on 10yo because they dont want to go through puberty.

I’m not disagreeing with you although I’d question how much you can separate the two things. My understanding is generally that families that try to access things like puberty blockers or hrt often find it very difficult to access these things, they’re certainly not just thrown at them as a first option. I’m not saying there are zero exceptions to this or that there aren’t people that regret their decisions.
Overall I think my position is it should left to the medical professionals, family, and child and what people like us think shouldn’t really matter. I’m certainly against politicians making decisions about blocking certain treatment options.

Its an interesting approach that is going on. 4 years while a long time to govern isnt actually a long time in reality and voters who already protested against the Biden Harris government for high cost of living and will easily walk away from the republicans if they dont fix this as well.

A number of Republican senators are due for re-election in 2026 so they will tread carefully - the senators in Maine and North Carolina are most at risk and could flip in 2026.
My call at this stage is the House will flip in 2026 - it only requires probably 4 house seats to flip and very rarely does the governing party hold the balance in the House in last two years of the Presidency.
I hadn’t realised that the Democrats have rarely had a majority in the House over the past 32 years - 1992, 2006, 2008, 2018 and 2020 so only 10 years out of 32.

What I find hilarious is that you have a group of MAGA on here who have openly accused Mark Riccuito of jobs for the boys after his Burton selection and running the club into the ground with his ego. Yet they cant see Trump is doing the same thing.
The issue is though that the MAGA congress will basically try and force Trumps bidding. They already voted to block Gaetz inquiry. So they arent trying too hard here.
Im more on the side of forcing an age minimum on gender transitioning through medical aid. All it takes is one kid to want to change their mind but they already had their boobs cut off when they were 14 for it to be a disaster and a life long trauma. I just feel it is better and safer if you did like 16. Kids are likely to know more about who they are at that age then when they are 10.

They desperately tried to weaponize the DOJ against him to illegally place him in jail and they cheated at the last election with such levels of corruption with millions of illegal votes. They knew Trump would come after them if elected and tear down the fabric of the democratic system and the democratic party.
